A perfect little apartment right in the middle of Mad. The apartment is cute with modern details and is equipped with a kitchenette which is nice. You can rent bicycles to go exploring which we did. Mad is the best village in Tokaj in my opinion. We had a great time here!

There was a big terrace with a table and chairs, view to the garden, our stay was very calm. The host has a young dog who quickly became best friends with our dog and they played all day. There were three bottles of wine in the fridge waiting for us, gift from the owner who produced the wine himself in his vinyard. There were good places to eat nearby.

Mad is the perfect destination for wine tasting at small, family wineries. It has a great appearance, having been refurbished recently, but keeping the old-world feeling. You can easily walk everywhere. The history of Mad is important, and many historical buildings have been preserved, and are open for visitors. The main road from Miskolc has been widened and repaved, so driving there is easy and much safer than before. It is quiet, safe, and inviting.

Mad is a truly beautiful small town.

Mad is a truly beautiful small town. The old is still apparent, but it's clear that money and love is being put into the buildings and homes. It has a lovely restaurant, some great wine cellars and wonderful boutique accomodation. The town of Tokay is only around 10-15 minutes away and the views along the way are breathtaking. The larger town of Szerencs is even closer and here you will find many other dining opportunities

Mad is a sleepy, very long and not terribly scenic village where Tokaj wine-producing is the main activity; but the views of the vineyards are not impressive and the scruffy vines are interspersed with bushes and scrubland. The old Jewish cemetery at the top of the village is the most interesting spot.

The First House of Mad is a nice place to go for a dinner and few glasses of local wine. Definitely I do not recommend the restaurant at the Madi Kuria hotel. Unpleasant sevice and - to put it simple - bad food.

Very good place, excellent wines, excellent food.

Very good place, excellent wines, excellent food. If you go to Mad, you have to taste the wines from Kardos Gabor. Dry furmint and also the sweet wines. Very good wines and correct prices. He has a borbar ( wine bar ). You can also taste the local cheese.
