Good place to laze around with the family.
Good place to laze around with the family. Lake Balaton is an absolute gem in the heart of Hungary and is a bucket list item for anyone. Gorgeous sunsets + clean lake = lovely opportunity to swim basking into the twilight. People were generally friendly. They have an awesome electronic music festival (Balaton Sound) in late June early July with some top name djs.BenAustria

The room was very clean and spacious, while the beach (which is the biggest free one in Balaton) was only a few hundreds meters away from the entrance. In the garden we had a grill during the night and played some ping-pong. If you are looking for more "action" for the night Siofok is only 1 station away by train, or ~30 mins by bike.

Zamárdi strand is 800m walk, but if you just want to swim there is a bathing platform much closer, at the end of the road.
