The tv/sitting room felt like a sweatbox even with the AC on full blast in the bedroom. Eating dinner in the restaurant was not an option as they closed it to their guests to hold a private function. Small beach with restaurants and a few shops. I liked that it was quiet, peaceful and not touristy. Felt very safe for a lone older female traveller. Probably not ideal for groups of young people who may prefer a livelier place. I loved it. Very close to the airport but the noise of the planes was not intrusive.

Best stay - Bogomalo beach resort Best food - Joet's There is no other good option available. You can compromise a bit by staying at Mariaariose. Bogomalo beach is best and less crowded beach, where you can take your kids and spend quality time and there is also one watersports provider.

I recommend the following for stay at Bogmalo. 1.Water sport at around 10 AM. 2. Lunch at Coconut Creek or any restaurant. 3. Swimming at pool. 4. Spa with magical fingers of Augustinho and Rajani. 5. Dinner at Joets with CABO, Crab, Prawns with live singing of Bryan. 6. Visit to Naval Museum. 7. Discuss with Simran if you are staying at Coconut creek for visit to the island. 8. Those who want to stay sea side may choose Bogmalo Beach resort. Bogomalo is a quiet somewhat secluded beach that can be accesses directly from adjoining hotels, complete with a shack to experience the Goan beach culture 24x7. sunrise and sunsets are glorious and very peaceful.

The hotel is over 50 years old, earlier it was Oberia Bogmallo, later it became Park Plaza Bogmallo, and now it is Bogmallo Beach resort. The old charm and grandeur is no more there because maintenance is lacking. Plumbing does not work, tiles are broken, wood work is in poor state of maintenance. The housekeeping is awful, despite reminders in my 6 days stay they never changed the bedsheets.SinhaIndia

Austin is the sweetest guy who picked us up from the airport & dropped us to Margao then next day, he was helpful, informative and friendly. Location is great, 15 minutes drive from the airport and 5 minutes walk from Bogmalo beach which is peaceful and pristine! The room was big, spacious, beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Loved this place, we wish we had stayed longer!
