Very nice hotel very close to Leh Main Market. The room was spacious with a great glacier view and ample sunshine in the morning. We booked for two day's stay but liked the place so much that we ended up staying for 5 days.
Staff Sonu ji and Krishna ji were very helpful and supportive and were always available on a phone call. Next time I come to Leh I am definitely stay here again.

The eco-friendliness and the theme of the property, with its color palette, decor, simplicity and use of natural products and inclusion of natural artisanal work was exemplary. In addition, Dolkhar makes you feel at home, providing you with a sense of independence way from home, and also a sense of calm and peace that one envisions as part of travel. Courtesy and compassion are embedded with smiles and gratitude. The staff takes much care and goes beyond. Kudos.

Most visitors to Leh prefer to stay longer to tour the valleys nearby. We went during the off-season and the main reason was to get away from the Delhi chaos over a weekend. So Leh served its purpose for us. The main market area has good cafes, restaurants and shops. Shanti Stupa is also present in Leh. Good vibes nothing less. Leh has a large Indian Army presence so we felt very safe and secure :)

Scenic views all around with the most amazing people!
Scenic views all around with the most amazing people! Momos were my favourite local dish that you can find at most restaurants. Love that Leh is more pedestrian friendly and quiet compared to the rest of India. Perfect destination for relaxation.

Its always in the bucket list of most Indians.
Its always in the bucket list of most Indians. Has the highest motorable roads, its a paradise for adventure seekers, highest saltwater lake, cold desert, treacherous roads, borders mof two neighbouring countries. Its a must visit place.

I was expecting a little more of the city.
I was expecting a little more of the city. The market is nice, I had some fine food, but the streets and sidewalks are too disorganized, there are signs "don't walk alone in the dark because of the stray dogs" (?!?!?), it's pretty smoggy and conservation in general is lacking. Came by bicycle through the Manali-Leh road, which was amazing, but the city itself wasn't a highlight of the trip.

Amazing place.
Amazing place. Beautiful city, the cleanest place in India I've ever seen . The old city definitely worth visiting and walking around. Good tibetian food is everywhere and also nice souvenirs, like essence and stones.
Felt like that's one of the best places in India to be if you're looking for a pure energy, clean space and peaceful environment.

Leh. What a beauty.
Leh. What a beauty.
The Road after Manali is good till Jispa and then till Sarchu is also good. Post Sarchu the administration forgot to build roads till Pang. It is sheer hell for 4to5 hours of driving time (Sarchu to Pang).
Khardung-la pass weather in first week of June was not good. The Police check-post at South Pull, had a rude Policeman and they didn't allow our 4x4 Fortuner to cross-over and go to Nubra/Hunder. We missed out on these places and lost money on hotel booking (4 rooms). We were so disturbed due to this setback that we spent 10,000 to buy anti-skid chains for our car, and for another car (8K). All went to waste.
Beauties on this trip - Jispa, next to a river bed. Walkable from Hotel. Amazing. Mighty passes - Chang-la, Taglang-la, Baralacha-la, Zoji-la (we came back via Srinagar), Nakee-la and many more.
We changed plan to return via Srinagar on hearing news of avalanche on Leh-Manali road. This costed us 1 more day. But it was seamless journey. Srinagar finding hotel on spot was big challenge. Big Big challenge. Suggest to book online 1 day in advance if planning to come via Srinagar.
More plains were good. Pangong was a beauty (very cold one though). Coldest place on the Trip was Pangong. We used Warmers (top & bottom) in June at Pangong plus 2-3 more layers. Still after coming from toilet took 20 mins to warm up again at night.
We loved the Marmouths (biggest squirrel just like a teddy bear) on way to Pangong.
We loved the ShantiStupa. The cafe there serves sea buckthorn juice, apricot juice, thukpa. Loved them all.
Stayed in hotels - Chospa, Silk Route. Both were good. Chospa is ultra-premium, Silk route is budget friendly luxury. At Pangong stayed at Pangong Delight Cottages.
Del and his family made us at home. We had a superb experience on our stay with them. The rooms were priced economically. The amenities (rooms, bathroom...) were excellent. The breakfast was exceptional. Whenever we were tired in the evenings and asked them to prepare food, they presented us with homecooked food which was tasty and the portions were huge.
They went out of their way to make us comfortable
Will definitely be staying here again when I revisit Leh
The breakfast was good. A generous selection of food was available each day with a heater in the room as the property overall was very cold. The staff were very attentive at all times and responded very well to any requests. The owner also tried hard to be friendly and chat with us and also to assist us as best he could with any information about Leh, Ladakh. The views of the snow capped mountains were beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay at Hidden Leaf so much that we extended our stay multiple times. The host family made us feel very welcome and made sure we felt at home. They cooked delicious food for us and helped us organise trips. We stayed in a three-bedroom that was exceptionally clean and beautiful - perfect for the 48-hour acclimatisation period in Ladakh. Can't recommend this accommodation enough!
Greatest, most friendly host in Leh! Delicious food (also traditional Ladakhi if you ask, delicious!) and drinks. Cozy, warm, quiet and really clean place. Well equipped room with nice view to mountains and suprisingly strong wifi (also during bad weather and heavy snowfall). Localization close to Leh market, maybe about 10 minutes.
Breakfast is good. More than what you ask. Porridge is wow. The room is spacious and clean. 24 hours hot water. A little far from the airport. Need to pay 500 from the airport to the hotel. Return to airport cab arranged by the hotel. All the staff are extremely hospitable. Very close to all markets. Outside eateries are plenty.
It's a very warm, welcoming, and serene place right in the heart of the city. We traveled in our own car and Mr Dorjey was extremely helpful and guided us very well about our journey across ladakh. Service is also very quick. Another plus point is the food... Everything is good here.. overal a very comfortable stay.
Yang was an amazingly kind and helpful host, who helped me a lot with my first tour of Ladakh. The guest house too was really cozy for a very reasonable price. The food was pretty good too, and so were the rest of the staff. The fact that you wake up to views of the Himalayas is the cherry on the top!
The best part was the Hospitality of the Manager Urgan. He is such a nice guy who takes care of all the basic needs and keeps checking for any more. The property is very good and very close to the most of the tourist attractions of Leh. Very neat and clean rooms and with Superb view.
Hospitality of Mr. Sonam is top notch.. and the breakfast prepared from the vegetables of garden is fresh as 💎 gem. Stay offers guests feel of the traditional ladakhi village and one option for night stay
who are enrotue tso mo ro ri lake
Everything was perfect ! Rikzin is an amazing person being ! The kind of host everyone is dreaming about and he gave me a great idea of what Ladakhis people are… So helpful and with a lot of attention !
The welcome and hospitality of the hosts, the briefing on how to acclimatize, the homemade food, the advice and recommendations on what to do in Leh, the cute garden… perfect place to arrive in Ladakh!
