Excellent location directly on the beach. Pleasant staff. Good food. Beach area was lovely, with natural shade from palm trees. Housekeeping was fine. Lovely room with an exceptionally comfortable bed.
The hotel is well named as an ‘Inn’ as it has that relaxed informal atmosphere.
I appreciated that we were given a quiet room as requested, upgrading the room so that they could fulfil the request.
It’s not too influenced by American culture as a few of the other Negril hotels are, so tipping was discrete and there were no pointless TV screens in the restaurant, which pleased us.

Negril is the more laid back part of Jamaica. It is quiet, especially up in West End and the cliffs. So there you are not right on a beach but up on cliffs you can jump from or coves you can take a
ladder down to swim. There are small markets and many mom-and-pop restaurants you can walk to. And lots of locals homes with their gardens and grazing animals.
The beach area of Negril is flat and sandy. Depending on where you stay, you can be at a small place on the beach and walk to stores, town restaurants and small beach restaurants. Or, you can stay at an all inclusive and never leave the property.
We like Negril better than Ocho Rios ( but seeing Dunns Falls and Bob Marley’s home in Ocho Is a must) We like Negril because of its less touristy feel.
If you’re here without children, you should split your time between beach and cliffs.

I absolutely loved our vacation in Negril!
I absolutely loved our vacation in Negril! I loved the cliffs and beach, the food, locals, scenery but I would’ve preferred to stay at another hotel. The restaurants were amazing and the sea was breathtaking. Can’t wait to return.
Especially to rock house!

Negril never disappoints, there are so many great cooks, everywhere. You can literally eat anywhere. We rent a car but taxis are a great way to get around to the beautiful beach. Talk to the locals get out of your hotel and explore.

Way past the large all-inclusive resorts, Negril is full of smaller and well maintained properties, guest houses, restaurants. Not so much an international cosmopolitan playground as an honest Jamaican setting.

The hotel is very very secluded and far from EVERYTHING.
The hotel is very very secluded and far from EVERYTHING. I almost thought we were lost trying to find the hotel.
The housekeeper is rude and impolite. The head housekeeper Alison made up for it though. Alison was sweet and kind, and went above and beyond to make up for her co-worker.
The bar/ restaurant servers were excellent. I loved all of the ladies.

Patsy's Coffee Shop was great for breakfast.
Patsy's Coffee Shop was great for breakfast. We enjoyed Ivan's and Rock House for dinner. Dakta Kush was a sweet character we met at his snack stand outside our resort. The people are so funny and friendly! A handful of stray dogs and cats roaming about, friendly and shy.
Very well located, directly at beautiful Bloody Bay beach. Enough parking space, well-kept hotel area. We stayed for 5 nights in an Ocean View Junior Suite. The room was exactly as described, spacious, with ocean view and very clean. The variety of food during breakfast, lunch and dinner was good, the food was in general fresh and tasty (try the Jerk Chicken at the beach bar). Always enough sun loungers at the beach with palms. The staff of Riu Palace Tropical is pleasant and made that we felt well during our stay.
The grounds were beautiful, the location was perfect, the beach water was crystal clear, breakfast was included and was really good, we really enjoyed the afternoon chef, i think his name was eddie or eric, there, he was the best, our driver from the hotel was the best, he was telling us about the places as we were driving past them from montego bay to negril, he mentioned attractions we could do, really peaceful place, I think we were the loudest ones there lol, but would definitely stay again
The honeymoon suite was beautiful!
The property was quiet, clean and well maintained.
The food was delicious and made to order. Room service was amazing and presented beautifully.
The staff was very friendly and efficient especially our housekeeper Doreen she was excellent, she was a ray of sunshine everyday!!!
I have absolutely no complaints about anything here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Negril.
We really enjoyed ourselves!!!!
The Westender was a little off the beaten path, but this added to the privacy we experienced while there. The property was stunning. All of the staff was so nice. We stayed in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay as well while we were in Jamaica, but our Negril experience was by far the best all-around, thanks to the Westender Inn. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.
It is a seaside property with its restaurant directly on the beach, centrally located on the Negril 7-mile beach, very well maintained and with a very gentle and kind staff. Excellent restaurant, terribly delicious food, nice, attentive and welcoming staff. Thank you Jayda and everybody else in the restaurant, the reception and house keeping.
These condos are perfect for those who want an affordable holiday on the negril beach. The condos are right on the beach so you have your own private access to the beach, avoiding the crowd. The restaurant is excellent. The apartments are not modern, but they are clean and it is a perfect tradeoff for having the beach outside your door
Staff was friendly, helpful, not pushy and aggressive like some other places we been. It was clean, food was good, we enjoyed most things we tried, drinks weak as always in all inclusive, views were amazing.
All in all we enjoyed our stay
Hotel room was clean and comfortable with a balcony, air con, fan etc. The location was great, on the main strip, not on the beach side but cross the road and you can access the beach easily.
Breakfast was lovely and included.
my son and i love the variety, we've stayed at several 5 stared hotels this year for different celebrations but for the pass 3 years we chose Royalton Negril... it feels like home; comfortable.
The hotel was lovely....nice rooms, great oceanfront view. Food was above average...lobster night and the Steakhouse were beyond exceptional. The beach alone....cannot be beat!
We always stay at travellers. It might be time to checkout other hotels on the strip. Our room over booked and this happened to other guests in the hotel
