We picked the hotel due to its localization, because it is close to famous bamboo forest and to make crowdless photos you need to get up very early, so we decided to choose hotel close to the forest. It was supposed to be only a bedroom for us, but it came out as a really comfortable and clean hotel with very friendly personel. Also the bathroom was big, clean and to be honest, the best we found in our trip to Japan. I can recomment it to everyone staying in Kyoto

Loved this hotel for a second time. Access from JR Saga Arashiyama station could not be easier! A perfect choice to enable an early stroll along the bamboo path. The location is great for Arashiyama, but hard to get there without a cab. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the JR station. They give you kimonos to wear, and the property is very clean. The onsens are great - you have access to a warm outside onsen, a warm inside onsen. You also have access to both dry and wet saunas. It wasn't busy to use the onsens, and all very relaxing. Breakfast was very Japanese focused. My Japanese friend said it was 10/10.
