I visited Shima on a surprise birthday trip I organised for my fiancee, and it was fantastic. I particularly recommend The Shima Nature School kayaking experience around Ago Bay and lunch with the incredible Ama divers at the Satoumi An Ama Hut! Be sure to also take some of the toiletries that are provided in the lobby; the bath salts are especially nice. The resort is in a peaceful location and is a great place to relax. (Ago Bay is really quite beautiful.) Given the high quality of the cottages and amenities, staying at Fiore Shima is an excellent value. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning!

Staff were very helpful and supportive, told us about the nearby restaurants. the whole building was quiet , in the mid of green, close to a beach (not sure about the beach access) Rooms were clean, comfortable. The view from the balcony was amazing looking over the whole ocean. Convenient location if you’re going fishing in Shima. I highly recommend this hotel if you drive.

Huge rooms and outstanding bathroom with a wooden large bathtub. The owners are lovely and energetic and helped us shipping some of our luggage back home. Delicious breakfast in the morning. We loved using the big playroom with table tennis and playing video games! It was so relaxing, we could have stayed much longer. The surrounding area is quiet and beautiful - you can explore Ago Bay from here.
