Large, elongated resort with several two-storey apartment buildings, two hotels, indoor swimming pools (sandy beach outside the resort) and several restaurants on an island connected to the mainland by a bridge, 45 minutes by bus from Nagasaki Main Station (free shuttle bus and public bus (line 30) for 610 yen, both several times a day), or about 30 minutes by car. Airport shuttle from Nagasaki Main Station to Nagasaki Airport every 20 minutes for 1200 yen (cab very expensive!). The resort is geared towards families with children and dog owners. Very quiet, but a little out of the way. You can explore the island on free bicycles. We had a nice spacious room in one of the apartment buildings (first floor) with a large terrace right by the sea, a large bathroom, very comfortable European-style beds, two Japanese-style futon sofas set into the floor in front of the TV and a desk. We had booked breakfast included (very good buffet), but not half board (dinner), which was a mistake as the only "a la carte" restaurant was at the very end of the resort 1.5 km away and you may not get a table reserved for the (very rich) Japanese 5-course menu (25 EUR per person) in the restaurant near the apartment without advance reservation. The buffet dinner in the nearby hotel costs 50 EUR per person, and it is a long way to Nagasaki for dinner! Very friendly staff, almost exclusively Japanese guests, therefore sometimes communication problems.
Although this property is not located in central Nagasaki, guests can enjoy the views of the ocean and sunrise as well as the surrounding nature at Nagasaki House Burabura.

Beautiful property with traditional futon beds, and the most incredible view! Our room was simple, but did exactly what we needed and was great to experience the traditional Japanese Tatami design. The staff were really friendly and the kitchen is well equipped with free refreshments/coffee machine. The town itself is a seaside town just outside of Nagasaki, the town was very quiet and quaint, but has some seafood restaurants, a Lawson, and a supermarket. Getting to Nagasaki is also very easy, there are frequent buses running from the local bus stop.

I loved the location. Its convenience was great.
Staff were great to deal with, very helpful. They had good luggage storage for our bags before check-in.
It was also great when my husband and i both locked our key cards in our room. There were no issues from staff about them letting us back in.
