Go to Fulidhoo. There are stingrays everyday at the pier. Sit Down in the water and some Will come up to you. So Sweet and gentle. So pretty Wild animal. Beautiful Island with Sweet people. Nearby snorkling with Nurseshaks. Amazing. Swimming with Manta rays nearby also. Love to Go back❤️

Small local island with a few local shops and minimarts.

Small local island with a few local shops and minimarts. It will take around 10min to walk from one end of the island to another. There is only 1 bikini beach which has beautiful clear water and soft sand. The main attractions of the island are the friendly stingrays and nurse sharks that are always by the jetty entertaining both the locals and tourists all day and night. Excursions to snorkel with nurse sharks, turtles, manta rays etc. are much cheaper here as compared to if you’re staying at the luxury resorts. However it is sad to see a beautiful island filled with so much trash everywhere and barely any trash bins around. I found broken pieces of glass while walking on the beach on different occasions so beware. Your schedule have to be flexible too because almost everything is not on time, especially the speedboat transfers between Male airport to the island. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday with nothing much to do, and don’t mind the trash and mosquitoes, then Fulidhoo is for you.

Fulidhoo is in pretty easy reach, an hour by speedboat, look up Dream Speed US$40 or the public ferry cheap 3 hours. I'd skip Gulhi, which is pleasant, and Maafushi is for younger crowd plus the beach isn't up to much. You have snorkelling trips, wonderful diving check out Fulhidoo Dive, a beautiful tourist 'bikini' beach with gently sloping perfect sand into a clear sea.

Beautiful quiet local island where you can fully reset.

Beautiful quiet local island where you can fully reset. Beach is pristine. near the dock you can see mantra rays swimming. Snorkeling just in in front of the island. In the evening you can enjoy some local music or see sharks near the dock. Beautiful sunset.

Feeling like home-Home away from home.

Feeling like home-Home away from home. We had a fastastic experience staying at Fulidhoo Lhaa Lodge. The room is very clean and well maintained. The owner, Mr Moosa was very friendly and helpful. He had organize an awesome snorkellng trip for us, where we experienced swimming with the sharks and turtle. Watching dolphins swimming in Indian ocean was really a fantastic experienced. A visit to Sandbank was also a memorable one.

The island is nice and calm.

The island is nice and calm. You can walk anywhere you want - is pretty small. The color of the water is amazing. There are a lor of activivities you can do, either on the island or near the island ( diving, snorkling, see nurse sharks, see stingrays)
