LETS GO HURAA, hotel in Huraa

LETS GO HURAA is a recently renovated guest house in Huraa, near Huraa Bikini Beach.

I spent 2 nights at the Let's Go Huraa guesthouse and I'm glad I chose to stay there. Just a minute away from the port, this makes it quite convenient for anyone arriving/leaving by ferry or speedboat. The 3 partners operating the guesthouse are very friendly and helpful. They take you on a tour of the island on a motorbike so you can orient yourself easily. Room 107 is big, with plenty of space to put your stuff. The bed is comfortable, and the AC and wifi work perfectly well. The adjoining bathroom has hot water. Breakfast is simple, but it gets your day started on the right foot. The bikini beach is about 10 minutes away, while the restaurants and coffee shops are all close by. They even provide a beach towel. Communication was a bit difficult at first through Booking.com, but then became super easy when we switched to WhatsApp. Let's Go Huraa is extremely good value if you are visiting the island!

The Zen Den, hotel in Huraa

The Zen Den is located in Thulusdhoo, 100 metres from Bikini Beach and 2.9 km from Gasfinolhu Beach.

This is a terrific new little hotel in Thulusdhoo. Donna and her husband were fantastic and went out of their way to facilitate me and my requests - even though I booked at the last minute. It has a lovely little courtyard for breakfast and nice simple styling on my room which had its own little verandah facing out to the street. Rooms were very soundproofed and super cool in the hot climate. Note the hotel is changing its name soon to Akira I think. Thulusdhoo is a magic little island - not overdeveloped and very chill. Staying a bit back from the beach was nice for me. I stayed at another hotel on the island and this one was hands down the best.

Huraa is a very quiet island and we felt very safe.

Huraa is a very quiet island and we felt very safe. The family beach was pleasant and generally very quiet. Otherwise there is nothing much to do on the island. You have to go to the main touristy islands if you want more to do. There are very few restaurants in Huraa all serving similar food so eating out was very limited for choice. But if you want to go somewhere off the beaten track, Huraa is ideal. It's easy to walk round the whole island.

    Mietek Sweden 10

Mietek Sweden 10 I had a pleasant, relaxing and friendly stay with insigths to the life of local community. Huraa is located at comfortable distance from Male and airport. It has frequent connection by speed boats both ways. Transportation to the nearby resorts can be arranged at reasonable price. Great local restaurant Harbor. Staying at Courtyard I liked hospitality, flexibility and readiness to assist and adopt breakfast to my wishes concerning contents and size. Courtyard provided transportatin to and from the harbor and the boats. And the best, the owner, Iku, always ready to help and assist with arrangements. It felt like I met a friend. Huraa fitted all my needs, a quiet, basic, off beat base with easy possibility to visit mondain "all inclusive" resorts with bars and international cuisine.

The mangrove forest in Huraa is a highlight. Walk around it and see baby sharks, wading birds, and fruit bats. Instead of just going to Bikini Beach, walk around the island. So many small gems like a smoothie shop and restaurants next to the harbor.

Miruza, Abdullah and all the staff - thank you guys, I know you are reading it) I`ve already started recommending your hotel to my friends and definitely we`ll come back one day. Yury & Yuli

A perfect island for blissful vacations, easy to access from Male. Very safe, comfortable, picturesque. A great choice for a romantic getaway. Local restaurants are really good, I would especially recommend The Harbor, try catch of the day, sweet and sour fish, fish and chips, deep fried whole fish, mohitos and of course Harbor Affogato and Oreo milkshake!

A teeny-weeny island which seems like a model island with perfect beaches, cafes, restaurants, harbour, access to marine-activities apart from the beautiful pre-school, middle school, mosque, super markets, souvenir shops etc. We found a local craftsman's workshop making hand made articles - jewellery, trays, toys, show pieces etc out of shells and fibre resin. We stayed in Hotel Kanborani fom where it was easy to go to Bikini Beach, Cafes n restaurants, marine activities etc. Food is freat to have at 'Harbour cafe' and 'Blue Terrace' Restaurant. The latter is amazing for dining at sunset time. A quaint 'Caffeine Hub' is good too, for coffee and snacks in the evenings.
