Turtle Maldives - Your Gateway to the Beach & Marine Adventures Await!, hotel in Omadhoo

Set in Omadhoo, Turtle Maldives - Your Gateway to the Beach & Marine Adventures Await! offers a terrace and free WiFi throughout the property.

Not big but well-equipped rooms. There is just a small window in the bathroom so you need to let the ventilation run to avoid the unpleasant humidity in the room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant for breakfast and another good restaurant just around the corner. It is easy to arrange other activities like fishing (which we enjoyed together with the desert island visit).

The location near the Bikini/snorkelling beach; the hotel courtyard, the walking tour they gave when I arrived, the fact that they had a fish book (even tho it was in Italian) and the restaurant next door (Turtle Garden).

Scuba Inn, hotel in Omadhoo

Scuba Inn has a private beach area and a garden in Omadhoo. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant and 24-hour coffee corner.

Omadhoo is a fantastic island - a very cozy and home-like place, great for snorkeling. During low tide it's quite challenging to get to deepwater unless you have water shoes but once you do you can see sharks, stingrays, eagle rays, moray eels and other cool creatures. Besides, in the evening dozens of sharks come to the pier and can be watched from close distance.

It was a great value for the money, the room was clean, Maldivian breakfast was fresh, even every morning the same but didin’t felt bored. Hassan was very nice, took a hood care of us we felt like home, also organised nice excursions, and really did his best to find mantas and whale shark. The island it self not spoiled by tourism, cosy, authentic.

Omadhoo Island in my opinion is among the most beautiful fishing islands I have seen. It has a nearby coral reef and above all it is very rich in fish of all kinds (including sharks and manta rays). It also has a lot of restaurants where you can eat local food at great prices. And everyone is always very nice. The island is small and you can get around on foot. The bikini beach is very nice, the only problem is that the sunbeds and umbrellas available (they are free) are not enough to satisfy all visitors (although not numerous)

This island was used as a stopover on the way to Dhiguru Island. We spent two days here. I really liked the island, its size is compact, it’s convenient to walk. Comfortable and clean beaches, both tourist beaches with an evening bar on the west side, and others. A pleasant surprise were two locations on the south side - a long pier, from which you can always observe hundreds of fish, stingrays and nurse sharks at close range. They are fed there. There is also a place near the lantern where you can pet the stingrays after sunset. The food on the island is delicious and inexpensive. We stayed at the Green Leaf Hotel and ate at their restaurant. We highly recommend it, we tried all the dishes. The house reef is very interesting, located not far from the shore. The island is very suitable for independent snorkeling. You can always take a boat.

Very nice people, especially the fact of them being generous. Our USD and MVR was almost finished and we were at the coffee place at the beach (the name of the person was Jahed). Generally you can ask for discount and we did in our hotel and in the supermarket, but in this case we just said we have this much and we want these two drinks, and he just accepted it. The locals in contact with you would treat you as a guest and they maybe invite you for one time drink or eat in their own pocket, our diving person and our hotel people did that for us.

We stayed 3 days in Omadhoo

We stayed 3 days in Omadhoo It’s a nice and small relaxing island, we think we saw just 10-12 tourists there. There are few grocery stores and just 1 coffee shop in the island. We didn’t have a good experience there, the owner wants you eat what he wants not what you want to eat and overpriced (the food of the day started in 40dolars and after we tell him we wanted another food he lowered for 30dolars) ***there are nurse sharks and stingrays every night in the pier

Omadhoo is a local island with a population of about 1100 people living there. When staying on the island one can closely discover local traditions and daily life of the locals. There is a very nice beach on the west point of the island. The only minus about it is that the level of the water is very low in the afternoons when is the low tide. There are very beautiful coral gardens around the island with many kinds of fish living there. There is not a lot of activities in the evening, but still, there 3-4 small cafes run by local people with traditional food served. You can expect prices around 5 US dollars per local dish ar a big fish for 2 fo 15$.
