Careless drivers everywhere.
Careless drivers everywhere. Cafes closed too soon and shooing customers away. Too many Chinese scammers running temples in disguise of religious worship places - do avoid walking into one unless you wanna reduce some money. Dead town, not worth the time. Move on to JB instead.

Just a small town, so I see no requirement to stay longer than 2 days unless you got business or prayers (lots of temples) to do. Need to drive around to your convenience to your destination or to look for good and tasty food. One of the best food eateries - Yong's Steam Boat Garden (highly recommended), was the best dinner meal I had in Batu Pahat, superbly value for money meal considerably for the food you ordered.

It’s mostly about food at this town. It much sightseeing.
It’s mostly about food at this town. It much sightseeing. So it’s wonderful for foodies. They have an awful lot of cafes with great coffees (both local kopi and the western coffee). This is my second trip and I’d recommend: Coffee in Town (nasi lemak, Sambal sotong), Han Kee Cakes & Cake, Swee Kee Soup, Rengit Coffee (they plant, roast and serve in their own Rengit cafe!), Lim Coffee Trading Co (more specialty coffee roasts)… and check out the Glutton Street (note: closed every Monday)
So it’s a must to bring home bags if those powders! I like them all for its low acidity and great aroma. In a nutshell, too much but to eat too little time .. LOL
Unassuming. Unpretenrious . Sufficient facilities. Good for short getaway away from hustle and bustle of the big cities but still did not lose the touch of modernity. A place to relax and enjoy the time.

It's a local food heaven. Old city with modern development.
It's a local food heaven. Old city with modern development. The Nasi Briyani, Asam pedas, Lontong Satay are the best! Anyone who loves food should list Batu Pahat in the itinerary when they come to Johor.
Nothing.. One of the worst hotel ive ever been. Dirty bedsheets, dirty blanket, No exhaust fan in toilet, no mirror in bedroom only 1 in toilet. Receptionist missing during checkout, i have to wait for more than 10 minutes. The only good thing about this is the check in staff is very friendly and helpful.
The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making our stay a delightful experience. The overall comfort and warmth provided by the hotel staff and amenities overshadowed these concerns. We still had a pleasant and relaxing stay, thanks to the positive aspects of our experience
I like everything abt d homestay, very clean, well equipped & comfortable. Feel like i want to stay there longer.Eventhough only communicate via wassap with d host, he had been very attentive &helpful. Recommended for anyone who come to Batu Pahat or Air Hitam to stay here
Room was spacious and clean. Parking was available behind the hotel. We stayed during the weekdays without that many guests. View from the room was excellent. There was some light snacks being sold at the counter.
The location is in town. The owner is friendly and helpful. The house is nice and clean and it can fit up to 8 to 10 pax. Will definitely recommend it to friends and will book again for my next visit to Batu Pahat.
The room has been renovated since my last visit. For a hotel in Batu Pahat, i am a very satisfied customer. The toilet is clean and well maintained. Location is superb. near to bank, 24hour shops, eateries.
