The surrounding green hills are fast disappearing due to rampant development. Rather alarming to see the forests being replaced by more farmlands. Traffic congestion is frequent although it is bearable on normal weekdays. There are many kitschy attractions although visits to Malaysia’s most famous tea factory and plantation is compelling albeit overwhelmingly commercialised. Local visitors must be wary of buying fruits and vegetables as some vendors can be unscrupulous in palming off less than fresh produce.

best location to stay in Cameron as it is between Brinchang and Tringkap. It is also the coldest as it is located at the peak of the mountain. Walking distance to the market, strawberry farm, sheep sanctuary and some restaurants.
Best time to visit Cameron Highland is during Puasa time. Less traffic.

Cameron Highlands is a must-visit place for everyone seeking a quick escape from hectic life. The moment you reach Cameron, you'll be amazed by the pleasant cold weather, the nature and surroundings, the inexpensive prices for plants and vegetables, and the low entry fees for most places. And yes, the warm people.

I’ve stayed at Bala’s Holiday Chalet on three different occasions. The owner and staff are very friendly and always at hand to help or answer a query. And I’ve tried 3 different rooms. The environment is a real nature getaway. Sunrise and sunsets are a joy to behold right outside our chalet. And so many amazing plants, a pitcher plant right outside our chalet and lovely creeeping Ivy and everyday a pair of silver eared mesia would chitter from the pine trees

Good experience for locals and tourists.
Good experience for locals and tourists. You can find a lot of exciting natural attractions around. But road/trafic/ parking control system is still poorly managed. My worst experience was when I had to cancel my trip due to traffic congestion on my way to Cameron highland.

The road is so jammed.
The road is so jammed. Advisable if u can rent motor for moving. Brinchang is super jammed because most attraction is at there. Please book package to mossy forest. They will bring u up to the platform by their jeep and visit the teafarm.
