Taman negara rainbow guest house, hotel in Kuala Tahan

Strategically located across Taman Negara entrance, Taman negara rainbow guest house is 600 metres from Taman Negara Jetty and a short walk to many floating restaurants.

This is a small guesthouse of basic rooms on the river. It's convenient for the village, the floating restaurants and the national park. The room is big enough with its own bathroom. The air conditioning takes a little while to cool but it coped well with the incredibly hot weather. The guesthouse next door (Tepling) does a nice buffet breakfast for 15 ringit and has a tour desk where they can arrange everything.

TEBiNG Guest House Taman Negara Malaysia Kuala Tahan, hotel in Kuala Tahan

Located along the Tembeling River, TEBiNG Guest House Taman Negara Malaysia Kuala Tahan offers accommodation in Kuala Tahan. Free WiFi is available in all rooms.

Very clean and comfortable room! The breakfast is the best we've had in Malaysia so far. They can arrange you tours in the park which was very practical because all of them started right in front of the reception. They also provide transfers from the Jerantut Bus terminal. Unfortunately we had some misunderstanding for our way to the hotel so they didn't pick us up as planned BUT for the way back everything went well! You can also buy water at the reception and behind the hotel are some floating restaurants opposite the Nationalpark entrance. We really enjoyed our stay there for 2 nights! I also would like to mention the tour guide Rim, he has so many acknowledges about everything, especially for all those animals at the night walk. Highly recommended!

Mutiara Taman Negara, hotel in Kuala Tahan

Located in Taman Negara – Pahang’s rainforest sanctuary, Mutiara Taman Negara features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, offering Tembeling River or jungle views.

To reach the property need to cross the river by boat and no designated parking was provided at river bank I stayed 2 nights in Chalet no 7 and great place for kids run around. The single bed was broken where it sunk at the left side of the Head-board ( one of the leg must be broken hence cnt sleep when the bed is not same level. The cleanliness was very poor for the money paid. The housekeeping didn't use a vacuum at all. The breakfast is acceptable but the dinner can be improved

The location was brilliant since we came and left by bus, it's right next to the bus station. If you drive there is ample parking out front. Tea and coffee available in the room, makes for a lovely coffee to take to the table just outside the room to sip and get into gear. Absolute silence at night.

The night hikes were back to back groups so with crowds and noise no chance of seeing animals. You definitely should bring your own torch as you can't see where you are stepping and there are some slippery spots. Personally wouldn't do again. The canopy was nice albeit very narrow with only 4 allowed on it at a time. You are not allowed to stop or take photographs. Having to focus on my footing and not being able to stop and look makes it just going for a walk. Going through the rapids and getting wet is accomplished by guide literally rocking boat. The stop at village was the best part of trip. Fascinating how fire was started and the use of blow gun which we go to try.

Kuala Tahan is a nice little village with just a few shops and restaurants. But of course the main thing to do is to go to the national park. We choose to do a one day tour, which we really enjoyed. You cross the river and there is the entrance where you get your permit. They inform you about everything and everyone was very nice. I really recommend doing a tour because you learn a lot about nature and living in the rainforest. The canopy walk was also so beautiful! You can do some things on your own however, for most of the trails you need a guide to accompany you. There were some challenging parts about the hike. You need to be fit to hike up and down in the humid climate. But it was a very nice challenge and I would recommend it to everyone! If you want to eat out I recommend the floating restaurants down by the river. The people are really friendly and welcoming and the food is good, for a fair price!

We stayed 3 nights and had 2 days to explore which was fine to do both some day and night walks in the jungle as well as a river trip to the small waterfall. Crossing the river to actually get to the jungle site is very easier. You just go down to one of the floating restaurants and ask them to take you across. Fees are fixed at 1 RMB per person. Your entrance permit is valid for all days so make sure to keep it with you at all times - also when doing river cruises.

Like the staff! All very nice and helpful.

Like the staff! All very nice and helpful. We also had laundry done for seven people and it came back in a day and was very clean and organized. You can book excursions right from the lodge. You can drink the water, so would have liked a large water container to fill up on our own. They left two small bottles a day, but that is not enough and we had to purchase water. Good selection at breakfast. Bathroom was always hot, as no windows, just open to the wild, so had to keep door closed at all times.

    Love the jungle.

Love the jungle. Fab eco forest. 4 days would be enough as quite limited trails/walking. Small village that offered limited restaurants- 3 - and the 4 shops sell mostly the same limited stuff, so you do need to take supplies. No animals seen, they keep quiet which is fine, it’s their territory. It is quaint tho, and enjoyed my time there. Would certainly recommend a visit.

Very clean and insect-free for a hotel at the edge of a tropical national park. Property is a 5 minute walk to the jetty for crossing to the national park. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and’s helpful with booking every activity available at fair prices, and departing straight from the hotel. Free shuttle car to the bus station on checkout day was a bonus. Also if you book a private boat to Lata Berkoh, the dedicated boarding location is just down the grassy hill behind the hotel.

We booked this accommodation because our first choice accommodation was fully booked and were very happy that we landed here. The location was great (very quiet and far away from the location where most tourist stay when they want to visit the national park). We loved the noises from animals and insects coming from outside during the night. It was very convenient that transportation to the national park was offered by the hosts and we could be picked up anytime we wanted.

It is one of the best places in Taman Negara. You don’t need to worry about the location because Taman Negara is really small and you we get tho the river in 5 minutes. The owner was really nice and he is a really good chef. He even took us to the river so we wouldn’t miss our boat. The WiFi don’t work in the rooms but you get really WiFi in the lobby and it’s okay, because you are not going to be that much time in your room. I totally recommend you to stay here

The location is great, the resort is in the National Park across the river from Kuala Tahan. There are various trails that start from the resort and can be explored independently. The resort also offers activities, although we did not try it. The staff is helpful and friendly. Food at Seri Mutiara restaurant is okay. There is a clinic at Kuala Tahan across the river. There is a trolley to bring the luggage up from the jetty to the resort.

We arrived in Kuala Tahan when the floods started rising. Our host informed us about the situation beforehand, but we decided to go there anyways. We stayed 2 nights, and he was always helping and informing us about the flood situation which was very helpful for us. Unfortunately we did not see much of the inner jungle of Taman Negara. But if the floods wouldn't had been at this time we would have had a great time at Hana Guesthouse!

beautifully maintained and well located guesthouse near the Taman Negara entry. We rented the cottage next to the guesthouse which is ideal for a family; good double bed and a bunk bed. Good breakfast and freshly cooked dinner served under a canopy in the lush garden. The owners have a great network in the local community, so use their advice for trips!

I am satisfied that my frozen food that I kept in their fridge at the backyard was in good condition (as no food was lost out of sudden) ....thank you so much... I brought frozen food to cook in the Kepayang Cave@Taman Negara, hence I need to store my food at their kitchen since the room does not come with fridge.
