We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival.
We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution.
You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%.

We hired cars for our holiday group and went shopping, sight seeing of Victoria city and the whole Mahe island and out evenings to restaurants and entertainment. We also did the glass bottom boat full day trip and were pleasantly surprised on this trip to meet his Excellency the State President and First Lady of Seychelles also spending relaxing time at the Beach House on one of the islands, where this lovely couple so graciously addressed the visitors to the island and so kindly gave our group from South Africa audience and a photo shoot opportunity that was the highlight of our visit to Seychelles.

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing...
Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing beaches (for families, adults and snorkelling), great scuba diving, water activities and excursions, amazing nature trails, good choice of restaurants.
If you want to explore the island car rental (40/50 €/day)is a must as public transport is limited (waiting time can be 30/40 mins - 7SR each ride). If you want to explore the best beaches or plantations/waterfalls/attractions consider a car.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much.
Mahe is great! I loved it so much. Firstly the Ocean for sure, with lots of beaches along the costs. There's plenty of activities to do like snorkeling, diving, surfing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Due to Covid-19 they have some restrictions of course but still you can have a great time there. Restaurants and bars are open until 10 pm, but some of them close earlier to allow their staff to get homes before curfew. Shops, minimarkets close at 7 pm. Wearing of masks is mandatory in public places, and they register your name country and temperature at the entrance in every restaurant, café, shop, etc. to have a track of visitors.
To get around you can either rent a car or use a taxi, public buses are not allowed for tourists now because of COVID-19. Overall the place is very safe. People are super welcoming, helpful, friendly and always smiling. There's a great choice of what to eat depends on your personal taste but most popular is fish and seafood of course.
Just go there, relax by the beach, get some walk around. In Mahe you forget about your everyday problems and routines, you are just enjoying being in the moment.

Everything is good except Food.
Everything is good except Food.
Mahe is very touristic and in most places prices for food are too expensive comparing to what you can get on Praslin or La Digue.
Sometimes you pay 2x but get the same or even smaller portions and lower quality in restaurants than on other islands.
Everything was totally perfect. 💞 best apartment ever❣️ the most beautiful place, we’ve seen a lot of cute animals, get every information about the apartment facilities and every useful information about Mahè, programs, beaches, tips for trails. We got good breakfast with a little different specialty on every morning. The dinner (from Wok&Grill -Freddy) was cheap and amazing delicious. We talked with Freddy a lot, he’s super intelligent and friendly.
We rented a car so we could easily reach every beach on the island.
The hotel is brand new with comfortable rooms and beautiful pool area. The interior is beautiful and looks the same as on the photos and location is great. It's right opposite of the cafe Kreol where we spent a lot of time and the beach is the most beautiful on Mahe island!!! The presidential suite has an amazing terrace with outdoor bathroom and pool - loved it! After visiting other parts of the island I can definitely say it's totally worth of staying in this hotel as we loved this location the most.
+ The location was perfect to explore the island, directly across the road of a nice beach and the coast road
+ Kitchen well equipped
+ Cosy terrace
+ Comfortable and big bed
+ Modern furniture, comfy sofa
+ Take Away, restaurants and supermarkets only a few metres away
+ Parking lots
+ Very friendly and helpful host
+ Laundry service saved us :-)
+ Both air conditioning and fan
+ Brochures what to do on Mahé (information about hiking tours, beaches, diving etc...)
The hotel has a wonderful garden und our room had a very nice view to the sea. The hotel is well lead by a very friendly person who explained us all about the plants in the garden and places around the island. Breakfast was very good and included fresh fruits from the garden. We can definitely recommend this hotel for a stay at Mahe. You will need a car, though, to get to the most beautiful beaches of Mahe.
Perfect getaway. In the south of mahe which is more quiet and secluded. Beautiful room and beach. The best thing is the lovely hostesses- really helped us with everything, even drove us free of charge to the closest restaurant (30 mins away) on the first night before we got a rental car. Gorgeous garden, and turtlesss! Also super recommend the breakfast and the dinner. Delicious!!!!
Good location, in the middle of the jungle. This part of the island was not our prefered one, but it is just our opinion. However, the hotel is incredible, built in wood and placed in a very quiet place sourrended by the jungle, vith views all around the room and a fantastic balcony. The pool is incredible too and stars must be seen from here at night. We had a lovely stay.
Everything was perfect. Villa donated with everything. Rooms are clean and smell fresh.
Mrs. Vivienne helped us a lot to explore the island. She provided us with food even tho everything were closed at that time. Also, Mr. Alan such a gentle, kind person. He took us everywhere we want. They deserve a huge thanks :)
First of all I would like to say thank for her mom for warm welcoming and secondly for owner cause she was nice with us and helped us with everything and everytime she kept in touch with us. And finally it's one of the beautiful accomodation I have ever been in Seychelles and I really love this apartment.
staff were very kind, professional, accommodating. one of the best experiences in Seychelles. the manager on duty we spoke to her regarding some noise- she was extremely pleasant, very hospitable and did an amazing job to make us happy. incredible communication skills. we were very touched
The apartment is very clean, quiet, well equiped and spacious. 5 minutes walk from the beach. The host is super friendly and always available to assist with anything. Most of all, excellent value for money in the expensive island of Mahe :) 100% recommend this place!
Great place with breathtaking views and amazing hospitality from Lenny. Clean and value for money. Use Lenny's suggestions, he is very well educated about the area and mahe island so he will help you a lot with his suggestions.
Once again hug thanks to Lenny.
Fabulous host. Awesome garden and pool. Beautifully decorated. Washing machine a bonus. we only stayed one night as going to one of the islands the next day, but would be a great place to explore the island with if you had a car.
We stayed for 1 night before early flight from Seychelles. 10 min drive to the airport. Host was nice and recommended taxi for a good price. Apartment is very big with a private backyard, big, fully equipped kitchen
The best hotel I stayed at during my holiday on Mahé. Really recommend staying here. Moses and Sheryl are so helpful and attentive. The food was delicious. Filling portions. Beautiful views. Everything was perfect.
The property is located DIRECTLY at the beach at the most beautiful part of the island where there is much nature
Just a stunning location! Wake up, go swimming in the ocean, drink your coffee and love life! :-)
The host Peter has the best hospitality ever. He made us feel very comfortable and we had a nice experience around Mahe. I will definitely use this apartment on my next visit to Seychelles.
