I love Bangsaen nowaday. It is located close to Bangkok easy to commute and has everthing. I love all the beach clubs, restaurants, cafe and the beach. Many new places like Japaness town and fish market decorated in Japaness style. It is hip and trendy.

Bangsaen beach is now renovated and better organized.
Bangsaen beach is now renovated and better organized. Less high buildings, travelers can enjoy the beach walk with good seafood and many great coffee shops at a reasonable price. this place is considered as a good choice for a short trip and is not far from Bangkok.

We felt safe in the area, people are friendly.
We felt safe in the area, people are friendly. It was too crowded for us with too many deck chairs and tables for hire on the beach area. There is no shower facilities near or on the beach. Therefore, not encouraging bathers!

Bangsaen is a pleasant place to stay , with nice beaches and street food.
Getting around was a little difficult , although you could hire bicycles and motorbikes which were very expensive . If you want to stay somewhere away from the bars and foreign tourist areas Bangsaen is a good alternative as it is where the thais go for a short holiday.

Bangsaen is a Thai resort, As such there is absolutely none of the expat/tourist’s facilities and activities found in the more popular resorts like Pattaya and Patong. I couldn't even find an exchange booth: but there are plenty of banks, just more documentation LOL. The resort becomes very busy at weekends as many Thais make their way down from Bangkok. It has a lively nightlife with 5 or so pubs playing live music. It does not, however, have a walking street or any of the girlie bars found in the likes of Pattaya and Patong. For those who cannot go without their western tastes, there is a McDonald's, KFC, and Starbucks, as well as a small shopping mall.
In the evening, there are many street vendors and restaurants along the beach road, both cheap and upmarket, selling genuine Thai cuisine and fresh sea food is in abundance. There are less vendors weekdays.
Bangsaen is a relatively quiet town - busier at weekends - where if you stay of a few days, you will be lucky to see a foreigner/tourist. It is a wonderful place and a must 2/3-night stay.

Bangsaen is very much set-up for Thai's as opposed to foreign tourists. The beach is very long and clean with the sea very calm and quite clean. There are numerous hawker type stalls selling a variety of fish and meats. The recent ban on alcohol and smoking on the beach appears to have had little effect with numerous instances observed. The beach has many jetski, banana boat and tube stations along its length. It is one and a half hours from Bangkok and getting around is reasonably easy via songthaews who either plough a fixed route or if empty will take you to a specific location - all reasonably priced. As with many locations in Thailand, Bangsaen is struggling with the COVID 19 crisis and this is reflected by venues being closed, although it has to be noted that not as a high a percentage as Pattaya or Hua Hin. There is a night market but you will need to check when this is open during this time. Eating out at Larbubon5 and Pooky & Erik were well worth the money. I stayed in The Tide Resort which was a very good choice having good facilities, good breakfast and friendly staff.
The room made us feel at home. And it was a lot nicer than our home. The back porch that leads directly into a pool that actually has a long distance to do a lap was really great. We all slept through the night on the bed because it was so comfy. Being able to walk right outside and go to the beach was great. And the location and everything around it is great.
Plenty of space in the room. Clean (but under the bed should be swept more). We were given water, towels, shampoo when we needed them. Reception was helped us call a hotel in Bangkok when we needed to & were friendly.
The language barrier was tricky at times, but all of us used translate app & most times it was good.
The hotel has large rooms and good facilities. The complimentary breakfast had a few options, but the food was good. Short walk to the beach and boardwalk. A 25 minute walk to the Bangsaen night market, very relaxing with a sea breeze. Had some local restaurant and drinking options nearby.
Nice location close to the beach. Comprehensive breakfast included. Nice big room. Large hotel, but was very quiet. Great pool. Set in a quiet location but just a short walk to beach, shops and restaurants.
Good location with the beach just over the road. The staff were great and took time to entertain the children in the swimming pool area. Within easy walking to many restaurants in the area.
The hotel is old age but the room is clean , the bed is comfortable, all facilities in the room are well maintained. The location is good that we can walk to the beach in 5 minutes.
13 nights tour (I lived out here 33 years )
That resort was the best value i have been to considering the price it cost.
Without a doubt ,the best place we stayed on the trip .
