The custom boat tours to the islands exceeded my expectations and was far superior to a crowded typical tour of the 8 islands they usually promote. We got to go exactly where the kids would enjoy it best and avoided all the crowds. We climbed through caves, saw monkeys up close, and swam on a secluded beach. Stunning scenery everywhere.
The tour to the rubber farm and latex factory was very interesting, and the Benyaram (sp?) waterfall was very nice. There is a Thai cooking school that looked good there but we didn't have time to go. Skip the python and small tour tour since the zoo was decrepit and dirty. Super friendly locals everywhere, who smile and wave hello as you drive or walk past. Very clean and well stocked local stores and clean buildings. We loved driving through the hilly, mixed forest countryside as much as the boat tours to the stunning islands all around.
