We stayed for 5 nights.
We stayed for 5 nights. The beach is lovely with soft white sand. There were plenty of local restaurants close to the beach and also western food. There were only a few small shops. Transport into Chumphon costs 300 Thai baht by taxi. There is a really good weekend night market in Chumphon with a huge variety of freshly cooked food.

Actually it took me longer to get ther & cost more because of a misguided email from Booking.com “ Thank you for booked The Beach Resort & Residence . For any assistance , please contact us at 0654313005 . Transfer from the Chumphon pier to the hotel, you may buy the ticket at pier to be drop off at the hotel by minivan taxi. “ This information is NOT correct and I wasted time & moneyAnthonyAustralia - 10Scored 10
Pathiu have nice and peaceful beachs.
Pathiu have nice and peaceful beachs. Thung Wua Lan beach is one of my favourite beach in Thailand. it's beautiful and good for family trip. The highlight of Pathiu is scuba and snorkeling diving. The famous islands sight for diving are Koh Ran Pet and Ran Kai. There are wonderful sea anemone, whale shark and Bruda whale.

Difficult to reach, only 1 day-train per day.
Difficult to reach, only 1 day-train per day. Its just for the airport. Beach is clean, but most parts of beach very rocky. A few places o.k. to bath in shallow water. Pathio city has a nice small market with good food at day-time. At evening deserted. Many stray dogs at beach, but this is a very common problem all over Thailand.AnselmMalaysia - 6.0Scored 6.0
