Morshin is a special place where lots of people go to tab the water from the different wells. It is suposed to be extremely healthy. Morshyns buildings are a little bit from the (sowjet) past, but what it lacks in buildings is makes up with nature, a pilgrim atmosphere and a genuine feeling to be totally off the 'beaten path'. I really liked the big parks (Woods) and there are some serious walking paths, for example to the lake. But a bit more adventurous (with Google maps) and you end up in small villages where you will hear nothing more then the dogs and the singing in the churches (they have microphones on the outside and it's most of the time very beautifull). Try for example to go west, over the big road to Dolishna and nyzhnya Lukavytsia and go back through a water land with dikes to the petrol station and go south again to Morshyn (or on the big road at the petrol station take a bus). Want to have clean food that's good and very reasonable priced: try the hospital. No joke, real food real people. I have to go back to jump in the lake and enjoy the parks in summer. There is a direct train to Morshyn but busses drive from Lviv and Morshyn every hour and it takes two and a half hours. Morshyn is close to the start of the carpathian mountains.

Soviet spa town with old state-owned sanatoriums and some new small private hotels. Has it's charm, but the local tradition of putting on loud pop music in every cafe, bistro, canteen has to go away.
