"Happy Village" that is what it translates as and yes, everyone actually seemed happy I could hear the children laughing and playing. Many small playgrounds outside the other buildings and across from the hotel. Maybe it is the "Futbal"coaching center of Ukraine but there are at least a dozen fields around and the hotel was filled with children in uniforms. A small store walking distance for snacks and booze. down the street vendors selling fruit and veggies also. I always felt safe, Dropped a 50$ and a woman ran after me to hand it back . Wouldn't happen in Boston. COVID did not allow a lot of choices in dining, Vova, always willing to drive me into Kiev and around He even showed me the village and the homes for sale (the reason I was there). He was so good that I got stuck in Kiev City and at 1030 pm he still drove in to get me. The people I was in contact with only reinforced my reasons , and desires to move to Ukraine.
