I was not in Mbale much.
I was not in Mbale much.
From this trip I discovered Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa. Kapchorwa is a home of the marathon medallists in Uganda and they have built and created the best running tracks and a stadium atop a hill.
It is a beautiful town with so much green, excellent roads, the best view point to watch the sunset and the Karamajong plains.
Despite the cold, the slopes of mount Elgon have all the beauty you need to see as you hunt for the sip falls (more than one point).
The people of Kapchorwa are really pleasant too and helpful. Our guide was such a good photographer too so we have beautiful memories of our trip.

Best experience was the hike up the Wanale Hill.
Best experience was the hike up the Wanale Hill. Very beautiful view from the top of the hill. The water falls are amazing. You can do some yoga at the top of the hill. Very relaxing.
I ate at different places, including Kapkwata restaurant (a small restaurant with local Ugandan cuisine), Wash & Wills Hotel (a place with a variety of cuisines and the best pizza ever). There are also several Indian restaurants, with good Indian food.
I went to the gym at Wash & Wills hotel. a variety of machines were available and i enjoyed the aerobics class.
It is very easy to get around Mbale. I heavily depended on Google maps and it was very easy for me.

The town had a very good atmosphere compared to Kampala.
The town had a very good atmosphere compared to Kampala. It was quiet and definitely cleaner. The traffic was good. People were friendly. It seemed more open and less crowded than other towns we were in. The town seems more organized and less apprehensive.
