“This turned out to be one of the unexpected crown jewels of our vacation! We had traveled to the area to spend time with an elderly relative, and whose health is waning, and so we knew it would be a tough visit mentally...and not the more relaxing/fun part of our vacation. However, between the unbelievable flat, with its beautiful property and central location; and with Elke's and her husbands hospitality, it turned into the perfect respite for an otherwise more somber part of our vacation. We'd travel back to Gladbeck just to stay there again and relax! It also turned out to be a perfect location to explore the area and as we found out, there are a tremendous amount of things to do in and around the area locally (and as we learned from the guidebook that Elke had provided in the living room!).”

“The very first thing should be mentioned about this property is Andrea, the landlord. As you can see her photo on the album, she is really an Energy Bomb. The property is located on good side of the city and if you have got a car, this is the right choice. There is no parking problem in front of the home and you're almost at the center of the multi-attraction points which are not more than 20 Km around. Just ask Andrea. She surely will help you. but you've to ask (she said as a German proverb) ;) The property is on the ground floor and there is only one more apartment on the 1st floor. Very quite and well furnished with kitchen and leaving room facilities. Netto supermarket is in 1Km away and there are choices of German and Italian restaurants nearby. We were impressed by the German ones. There is a fantastic greenway for walking and jogging close to the house. I had a chance to get in touch with family members. They are all very friendly, gentle and distinguished especially Mr Wolfgang, He the father of the family. He is great, wonderful, He is a MAN!”
