“The town of Lires is a required Camino stop, if a pilgrim wishes to obtain a "Muxiana" - the official credential for walking from Finisterre. The local albergue was booked. The hosts of Casus Jesus made sure that I had a "pilgrim" menu for dinner at their affiliated restaurant overlooking the estuary-- it was the best pilgrim menu I have eaten on this Camino. They also prepared a pilgrim breakfast for me --at 5 euros-- the best local Galician cheese, ham, orange juice and coffee. They also generously helped me with some phone calls, because there was no local Vodaphone coverage. BEST of all, the rooms are most tranquil for a great night sleep. Thank you Casa Jesus.”

“I definitely recommend this apartment. The host was always in touch with us from the moment of booking, so, any questions were answered immediately. He lives in the same building, so you can ask for his help at any time. The apartment has a lot of space (3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen). Everything is well equipped: there are frying pans, bowls, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine. The owner also provided liquids for washing machine and dishes. There was salt, bread and some sweets in the kitchen. Supermarket "Froze" just the next door from the gate. Also, I liked the city: it is small and cozy. The streets are not overcrowded. Very nice stay after Santiago.”
