“Beautiful location, well equipped house and kitchen. Wifi that works (20Mbit) and good mobile reception. It is fairly isolated (4km off normal roads on a rough track). Bars and OK restaurants in El Gastor, but 30+ minutes drive to good restaurants (e.g. Grazalema, Zahara). IMHO, ideal for people that eat at the house much of the time,as if you like to go out to restaurants every night then expect a commute. Nice pool, deep end very deep so young children need supervision. Lots of good walks nearby. Lie by the pool and watch 40 or more Griffon Vultures circling overhead!”

“The area is beautiful, whilst there are a good few properties around it is still peaceful and private. It felt very safe and offered total relaxation. The owners went out of their way to welcome us and when we had a small problem they arrived to the property in a matter of minutes and looked after us! We loved that we could watch the Griffon Vultures soaring around the cliff tops and out across the hills! The view from the balcony and poolside is fantastic. It was brilliant to watch a thunder storm roll in over the hills one evening too. Truly an amazing place and we'd love to go back! ♥️”

“This is a fantastic place with everything you need to a really relaxing holiday. The villa itself is spacious and excellently equipped. Air con in all 3 bedrooms and lounge was great and much appreciated in the heat. The pool is a perfect size and has lots of sun beds, chairs & tables around. The owners were really friendly & helpful - I really can’t fault Finca Barreras.”

“When we decided to spend several days near Ronda it was very difficult to find a place to stay. Finally we decided to choose Cortijo El Pajar, which is probably a former farm house and now renovated for vacations. Initially we were scared by the road that lead to it through the slope of the mountain, but after we mastered it, the house became the perfect vacation place. The view from the terrace of the artificial lake, valley and mountains are absolutely spectacular. In spite cold weather and rain we enjoyed warmth of a fire place and could even watch Netflix on Chromecast thanks to the perfect internet connection. The house was were clean and comfortably furnished with very well equipped kitchen. Our host left us some olive oil which we enjoyed very much. It was also very easy to travel to Zahara and little more difficult to Grazalema a since the road went up through the mountains. We also visited Ronda and we come back to enjoy a fantastic dinner on sunny terrace of the house . We enjoy our stay in Cortijo El Pajar very much.”
