“Located in a beautiful and historically rich medieval monastery. Our room had views of the surrounding mountains, which have excellent hiking trails. The door opens onto the balcony of a large cloister with space for strolling or sitting to enjoy the view of the building, town or surround country. Really a wonderfully relaxing spot and a great home base for hiking the trails. Very nice breakfast and an excellent restaurant to sample the local cuisine.”

“The name of this place says what our stay was all about: "descanso" (Spanish for rest). The house is truly a 5 stars, with brand new air-conditioned rooms and bathrooms, all en suite, as well as the garden and swimming pool, which the owners keep immaculate for their guests at all times (thanks Veronica and Oscar for understanding our needs, and for your contagious enthusiasm and generosity. You work hard. We need more people like you!!). The house is really up for the job if you want to enjoy the view and smell of the wooden mountains and Mediterranean scrubland of the surrounding landscape, swim, rest (it is hard if not impossible not to sleep well here, either by night or wonderful long summer siestas), and still be close to Guadalupe' square (six minutes walk away). We will never forget the evenings sitting at the Hospedería's yard eating the tapa of the day... Apparently, it is in the autumn when this district is at its best. Well, we think the place in summer is as good as it gets, so we will have to check it out :)”

“Fantastic studio flat with the most wonderful view over the mountains only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Really comfortable and with great facilities. The staff couldn't have been more helpful (especially with my terrible Spanish). We wish we could have stayed here longer to enjoy some more time sitting on the balcony and visiting more of the restaurants in Guadalupe (great pizza at Polky Pizzeria).”

“We had the top floor three bedroom apartment for the two of us and it was still good value, particularly as on the two days we stayed the other two apartments in the building were unoccupied and we had the run of the whole building which includes a spacious communal area, courtesy booze cupboard, garden, etc. The couple who manage the building were astonishingly helpful, driving us to and from our car because the vehicle access is a bit tricky. A couple of minutes walk from the main square and the monastery.”
