“Avenida Juan Carlos I must be 5km long !! The street number I was give would not come up on my satnav so, having started from the centre of town and followed some property numbers for some time, it was clear that number 185 was not going to come up. So I turned round and started again, driving slowly until I recognised the hostal from the photo on the Booking.com page. Guess where it was? Three properties along from the other end of the Avenida !! If you have the same problem with your satnav, start from the northern end of the avenida. The hostal’s reception is on the first floor up a steep staircase. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. My room had all one could expect from a hostal of this type and location, seemed basic but had all required facilities and was reasonable value. You can park on the road outside and there is a splendid bar and lovely restaurant next door. It’s quite a way from the centre of what is a pleasant unspectacular town but no complaints and recommended for a stopover.”
