“First, Dominique was a wonderful host. She was extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with great info on the town as well as what to do and see in the area. Our room was spacious and well decorated and the bathroom had amazing decor. Our breakfast was ample and included fresh fruit as well as homemade jams and yogurt. Everything she served was organic. We also had 2 spectacular dinners she prepared. The town is out of a story book. Old entry gates are at each end of the town. The streets are all cobbled, half-timbered houses abound, flowers adorn entry doors and windows, the old church which has beautiful stained glass announces each hour from its bell tower, many round towers remain from the old fortress, excellent well priced restaurant next to the main gate, a weekly market, a calming stroll along the river that borders the town, a hike to the remains of a 6th century chateau that overlooks the town. A beautiful town that we always looked forward to returning from our visits to nearby sights. This is a perfect hub for visiting other towns and chateaux.”
