“A hidden gem. This holiday home at a lovely quiet location was recently renovated with lots of love and attention for detail. It is spacious, modern, fully equipped (also with a dishwasher and washing machine), with a great shower and a good bed. It also still has some authentic details, such as a typical Istrien brick wall. All in all, beautifully renovated. The location is very quiet. We loved having breakfast outside overlooking the garden. It is a good place to base yourself for a couple of days or a week (or more!), as driving distances to many of the main spots in Istrie are very doable. 10 minutes to lovely Labin (with good restaurants and supermarkets). 45 minutes beautiful coastal road to Opatije. 20 minutes to the car ferry to Cres Island. A bit more than an hour to Cape Kamenjak. But there are also lovely beaches at a 10 minutes drive. The holiday home is next to the main house, there are no other holiday homes. So you'll really feel like you have your own space. The owners are simply the most friendly, honest and caring couple you could meet. They welcomed us with a home made drink. The next day they took us to see their vegetable garden, insisting that we would fill up a basket with fresh abricots, pomodori, courgettes, and cucumber, and adding a bottle of home made wine. We are still enjoying these! They really go out of their way to make sure their guest have a great stay. We would highly recommend staying here for at least a couple of days. The only thing you'll regret is having to leave.”
