“The hospitality of Gaetano and his beautiful home were by far the best we have had in Sicily - or anywhere else. The beautiful garden is his pride and joy and we spent a happy afternoon there soaking in the panoramic view of the sea and a smoking Mount Etna beside the little pool. The breakfast was a work of art, his own hens' eggs, frittatas, stuffed croissants and homemade pastries and preserves. The apartment is huge with 3 large bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a wraparound balcony where we watched the 12 fireworks displays on the night of the 14th August along the coast of Catania. There are also 3 beautiful dogs that were a lovely addition to the holiday! The apartment is only an hour from Mount Etna's visitor center and an hour from the centre of Catania. Nothing was too much trouble for Gaetano - conversations, advice, travel itineraries and food, we had a very special time and plan to return to this beautiful and special destination.”

“The house was large, clean and very comfortable! It has an absolutely beautiful view in a lovely town. The hostess was well beyond hospitable and deserves to be paid extra for her delicious and abundant food. I couldn't pay enough to repay her heartwarming care and comfort of my family and friends! “This was a fabulous experience! It's an 18th century villa and they rent one section of it. We had the enormous grounds to ourselves with a view of Mt. Etna and Taormina. Salvo, the caretaker and host, is the nicest, most generous person! He brought us figs picked from tree on the property, and breakfast included jams he had made himself from the fruit trees that grow there. It was very quiet and peaceful, and about a 35 minute drive from Taormina. The kitchen was well equipped and the facilities very comfortable. Highly, highly recommend.”
