The food was excellent, including a gourmet dinner, breakfast outdoors under Nevado Huandoy, and the ample and tasty lunch provided for our day hike at Laguna 69. And last, but definitely not least, there is Charlie, the proactive and ebullient owner and host at Llanganuco Mountain Lodge, who ran to meet our car with his friendly (and spirited) rhodesian ridgeback. Charlie is an amazing combination of knowledgeable and opinionated, silly and serious, and without a doubt the highlight of our visit!”
