Featuring a bar, The Senator Hotel is set in Kolkata in the West Bengal region, 1 km from Indian Museum and 1.1 km from Nandan. I can't recommend The Senator Hotel enough. The hotel is in a great location (most important places are close by), everything is very clean and in great condition, food is delicious and the staff... I guess they selected the kindest and most competent people in Kolkata to work there! They all were super helpful, respectful and polite. As a woman travelling solo I felt secure and receive extra support all the time. They even allowed me to check in earlier and, as my flight was late night (and I got caugh in the rain), they got me a room so I could shower and change without charge! The security guard helped me to get taxis with cheaper prices and even went with me to show me the post office that was close by but tricky to find. I'll definitely stay there when I go back and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel that is very comfortable, clean and that has the best staff/ service.
