Renovated in 2016, the beautiful, chalet-like Active Life Madarao offers ski-to-door access from Madarao Kogen Ski Resort, a 3-minute walk away. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to Lisa and Stewart for their exceptional customer service during our time at Stay Active. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their willingness to assist with the installation of tire chains and in finding a VERY convenient parking space truly exceeded our expectations. Moreover, Eric and Vanessa also contributed to making our stay exceptional through their attentive service and unwavering dedication. Despite many centimeters of powdery snowfall, Eric kept access to the hotel clear, which made getting around on foot no problem. Vanessa consistently provided us with delicious food and beverage recommendations, ensuring that we had a delightful culinary experience throughout our stay. Getting a reservation at nearby restaurants was more difficult than during the height of Covid travel restrictions in past years when most of the area restaurants were empty. That said, Vanessa made sure we got a seat at every restaurant we wanted to try in the area. The level of service we received from the hotel staff was nothing short of exceptional. They are the epitome of hospitality, and their genuine care for customers shines through in every interaction. Thank you for going above and beyond to make our stay a truly remarkable experience.

Located a 3-minute walking distance from Madarao Kogen Ski Resort, Madarao, Xplore by Active Life offers relaxing public baths and ski-to-door access. Cost and casual place to stay for a ski/snowboard trip. Very friendly staff and the location for the hotel is very good. I was on the slopes after a 5 min walk.

Located in Iiyama, 26 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, Chalet Madarao provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Hosts were very nice, and very helpful getting me set up for skiing on the hill. The location is pretty hard to beat as you are right on the hill. Breakfast was ideal before skiing. All in all it was a great stay.

Boasting spacious hot spring baths, Hotel Silk Inn Madarao is about 100m to Madarao Kogen ski slope entrace. It features a karaoke lounge bar, ski equipment rentals and ski drying room. I had a fabulous time staying at the Silk Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Onsen was fantastic. The room was clean, with an en-suite, albeit a small bathroom but functional. The breakfast was great and the seafood cooked by the chef for dinner was delicious. The bar located in the basement was cozy and a great spot for a night cap.. I will certainly be back for the winter season as the hotel is only a short walk to the slopes.

Boasting quiet street views, Madarao Vacance Village offers accommodation with a garden, a tennis court and a terrace, around 31 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. It was quiet, and absolutely beautiful
