Calm and tasteful interior, woody scent, quiet, beautiful outdoor garden. Lovely spacious room with open bath, comfortable bed, relaxing atmosphere, fun teaware to play with. Breakfast was beautiful and plentiful. Kaiseki dinner of the inhouse restaurant was also delicious and well presented.

Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei -Age Requirement 12 over- has a fitness centre, garden, a restaurant and bar in Kyoto. Amazing service. People, who work there are so attentive, helpful, going out of their way to do something to fulfill your needs.

Quiet neighborhood, small independent hotel. This is a calm and peaceful area, the staff was extremely helpful. The room are really small, no desk, just a bed & small refrigerator. Small bathroom. It was absolutely perfect. We were in a busy area of Osaka the day before, this was a perfect wind down, sleep & decompress place

Before starting the trip, tadashi-san got really involved with us and helped us with all our questions. He was really kind and helpful. His guesthouse is incredible, an authentic ryokan experience. Please if you are going to stay in Tadashi's guesthouse be polite and kind, he is a really good person and he will help you with everything. His wife Yuki-san is also lovely!

Our favourite stay during our trip to Japan. The hosts were very welcoming and always happy to help us with our questions! I would recommend this guest house to anybody considering to visit Kyoto. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but not too far from some major tourist attractions. The hosts also suggested a walk around the neighbourhood with some lovely quiet/calm temples.
