Shikotu Toya National Park is wonderful, so much to see and explore. The onsen at the Grand hotel were amazing, very relaxing. I would have liked to visit the Ainu museum at Shiroai, but we didn't have time. The Cultural exchange centre near Noboribetsu Station was very interesting though, and they had excellent ice creams.

The view of Hell Vally , trekking route to Sulphor pond, natural foothbath is beautiful and pristine. View from the top of the Bear park and Ainu village is 360 degree and great! Feeling the bear is another uniqe experience.

The hot baths, buffet breakfast with many local delicacies and location, being just beside the Hell Valley is worth experiencing. However, pricing may be a bit steep for the size of the room we stayed.

If the weather is good, I would recommend going up the Observatory where one could view the entire Lake Toya. Not to be missed is the Jigokudani - Hell Valley and must try the onsen there. Very tourist friendly (surprisingly big towels were provided). There was a nice cafe near Lake Toya which serves very good pizza.

The hometown of Onsen a.k.a the hotspring bath.

The hometown of Onsen a.k.a the hotspring bath. Hotel in here is kinda on the expensive end, it could cost you almost $400-500/night but it you want to have a nice and good experience it's worth it. There's a few tourist attraction but not much but you can take a bus to a 10mnt near town which is more lively, there's also a ninja village which a must visit for a ninja fans, food is good overall and hokkaido is known as a Miso prefecture, drown yourself into a miso ramen nearby and taste a heaven soup breath life into your cold body in winter which is the best time to visit here around dec - feb. definitely would come again next year after the travel ban lifted ^^

The room size was good, large and spacious. Love the futon beddings aa they are so comfortable! The best of all, is the food - in terms of presentation, variety, quality, freshness, this humble hotel aced it in all aspects. Sashimi is super fresh! Hotel also peovided good quality toiletries for use. Onsen water was superb, could feel the good effects on skin after soaking in the onsen.

The private onsen was really lovely- an indoor and outdoor area. Same with the public onsen facilities. Everything was really clean, the staff was super helpful and it was really close to everything in town and a quick walk to Jigokudani. Dinner and breakfast were both great. So much food and lots of variety!

So glad I picked this small ryokan vs one of the big hotels. The staff were super kind and accommodating. The in-room meal was fantastic and the small onsen was never crowded. I even had it to myself a couple of times. The shuttle from the train station and to Oyunuma is also very convenient.

Onsen for sure. Also that may be by chance, but we got a really good room for 2 of us. Lots of space, japanese-style, great view, 9th floor. I forgot to bring my swimsuit so couldn't check the swimming pool, but the fact they have it already speaks much. Breakfast was good, i enjoyed it.

Beautiful room and hotel in general, really nice yukata robes. Good amenities (water bottle etc). The outdoor bath was nicer than the indoor one as it had lots of options, but bear in mind it is a rooftop sauna not true onsen Futons prepared by staff for you while you eat/bathe

The hotel is huge and rooms are spacious and well-designed. We enjoyed the experience and food selections, as well as the onsen. The hotel is located close to Jigokudani and the shopping street. Most of all, transport to the hotel from Sapporo was free and very convenient.
