The location was perfect, with stunning scenery. The owner was next door should we have needed anything. I would reccomend this property for those who want a countryside setting and a few mins drive to the beach. For a family too it is perfect as the property has a large garden for children. At the bottom of the lane there is a machine where you can buy fresh milk and shakes.

In many ways a typical B&B, but of a very high standard. The accommodation was fine - comfortable bed, good shower and it was very quiet. My host Carole was very helpful - it turns out the name Applebys was used because of childhood holidays in Weston-super-Mare, where she stayed with a family called Appleby - which happens to be my surname - and where I have family.

Great food. Great location and lovely staff. The only downside was it was like a nightclub underneath us and we have two small boys. It isn’t suitable for a family. It should be made clear there is VERY loud music until 02:00am and pissed up scrotes hollering at each other till the early hours. Would never go back with children. The staff, location and food were spot on. Just my opinion.

Nice stay. easily reachable distances for all travel destinations. the beach is 3 miles away. for hiking 3 miles. the food we can get all types very nearby. I go with a family with 2 kids(6 and 10 yr) and a wife. I think the family room is enough for 4. its an ensuite room. If booking.com shows extra room please avoid it.

We had an amazing time. The house was spacious and was well equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful real fire that was gorgeous on a chilly evening. Plenty of space for the dogs to run and was secure. Picturesque setting, with sea views from the bedrooms. Clean and the kitchen was great for having all the family together in one room, it really was the hub of the house. Games room was great too for our little one and the bigger kids!! Caretaker was extremely helpful! I would recommend this property to anyone.

The property was a really good size for our family of 6 (four adults, 2 teenagers and a dog). It has a modern well equip kitchen and a large dining area. It has a small snug room, perfect for the kids and a large comfortable lounge area with big TV. The bedrooms had lovely clean bedding and were comfortable. Two shower rooms upstairs (including one ensuite) were new, clean and really good.
