Set in Newcastle upon Tyne, 43 km from Alnwick Castle, Otterburn Castle offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The accommodation provides room service and luggage storage space for guests.

We stayed here twice on our way to and from the Cairngorms, with our golden retriever. I have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels but have never been anywhere with such a warm welcome and that is so dog-friendly. The whole team are lovely and could not do enough to make our stay pleasant. The castle itself is a lovely place with some surprising features. We would not hesitate to recommend Otterburn Castle and will definitely visit again.

Location was fantastic for The Sage, and only 20 minutes walk up hill to the City Centre. Parking was excellent, very convenient. Breakfast was exceptional as cooked to order, and the staff so friendly more like a small family hotel than a chain. Continental was good too and great choice for gluten intolerant. Reception staff were also very friendly and helpful

Great location and the breakfast was amazing. Small points would be to have the lights a bit better in the room especially with children. A family room for bigger families. Some of us have more than two children (greedy I know 🤪) Would appreciate the breakfast lasting an extra hour to get a wee bit of a long lie lol But to be honest was amazing. Kids loved it and the staff was extremely helpful and brilliant with the kids. Will see you again soon for another visit x

I love the building itself; the location is perfect for a city break and there’s a good amount of parking available too. The rooms are spacious and elegant; everything was spotlessly clean too. the lounge and bar area was a great space to meet up with family and spend a fun and relaxed evening too. Breakfast had a lot of great choices and was all delicious.

Staff were friendly & helpful, booked my car in immediately although I had arrived a little early so I could leave it if I had wanted to go off & come back just after official booking in time of 15:00 without being charged. Due to reason for visit (seeing family & a show) however only got back late. Another friendly staff member attended to room booking. Room was better than expected & facilities as described.
