Penrith is a beautiful little town. I arrived via bus from London. The accomodation was easy to walk to from the train station. I was met so kindly at check in. After a long bus ride and still struggling from jet lag, I had the most amazing sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the area is so peaceful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was a very lovely stay. They were able to assist me with any questions, very accomodating.

I wish I could transport the establishment and staff downunder. Old pub but everything works. Steve and Jackie the owners are tops. Beds great .Food quality is comparable to a premium restaurant worldwide. In between the Lakes and the Dale's is a great spot to stay Steve

Always an excellent breakfast and an upgrade to a feature room was well worth it, first time we have done this. We visit twice a year (many years now) to visit family and the location is great. Staff always helpful and friendly. We did travel Sunday to Thursday this time so as to miss the likelihood of a large function as on the last visits the music has been very loud - this time was quiet late evenings which was great for us.

We loved the fact that we could take our dog with us and that she was allowed in all communal areas. She was even given a breakfast along her mommy and daddy :-). Very nice quirky hotel with plenty of character and friendly atmosphere. Staff went above and beyond to cater for all our needs. The food was exceptional. We are very impressed and will definitely be coming back. 10/10 :-)

The family room was lovely and big and what i thought was amazing is the little details for the children they put in, fresh fruit in the fridge, juice, paper plates and cups set up on a table and colour book. Never stayed in a hotel that has ever done that and my little boy loved it.

We visited as a large family group with our “children” and grandchildren. As Blencathra and Eden View are the only accessible apartments on the first floor it was like having one large apartment with two kitchens and two bathrooms. It worked perfectly. The apartments were great, as were the views. Spacious grounds and even a family friendly pub within walking distance.

Stylish AND functional for families. No compromise on luxury because the little one are along for the stay. Lots of little extras to ensure kids are welcome, entertained and catered for. The family rooms with the bunk beds are the best that we’ve stayed in. Can’t be beat. Friendly, courteous staff, despite our stay being early on in the restriction being lifted and the staff being new and still training. Just fantastic.
