The Globe is a welcoming hotel situated in the heart of Wells, next to the park. The room we had was comfortable, tidy, clean, spacious and with modern facilities. Despite being above the central seating area it was very quiet in the late evening. The bar meal of fish and chips was excellent, and it was a pleasure to sit out in the June evening and enjoy the convivial atmosphere. The full English breakfast was hearty and of high quality with all the usual trimmings. Importantly, we appreciated the great service during our stay and particularly that of Max, the manager, who took the time to give us some insight into his hotel. It’s clear that a lot of thought, care and attention has gone into making this place very hospitable. We look forward to returning soon.

Bungalow was immaculate which made us feel comfortable straight from the off allowing us to relax. Facilties were also very good. New apliances in the kitchen including dishwasher just what you want when away. Plenty of space for the little one to rome safely. Parking and access all very convenient. Walking distance to town center 10 mins

The accommodation was superb and incredibly clean. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The menus and food were excellent. As we are not keen on dogs we had been a little concerned by some of the negative reviews which referred to dogs; and there were many dogs- but they were all well behaved and managed well by their owners so we were not bothered by them at all. We enjoyed our three nights at The Victoria and intend to go back on a regular basis.

Lovely old historic building. Great location, very close to historic sites. Hosts very accommodating and friendly. Room was very comfortable. Excellent value for money.
