Esquipulas Rainforest in Quepos provides adults-only accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a bar. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. The farm stay offers mountain views and a picnic area.

What an absolutely amazing place, out of all our travels this might be our all-time favorite. The cabins are lovely and the view in the morning is amazing. The entire location is just gorgeous. I was pleasantly surprised by the bathroom and the showers, the water was always warm and relatively insect-free. In fact, there aren't many bugs there at all. The food was quite good, it's mostly the typical Costa Rican food but I'm sure if you ask, they could make something else for you. It's a fantastic place for birdwatching, whether you are a serious birder or not. Some normally pretty rare birds are easily found there. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the birds. You can go on a free coffee tour if you're staying there. We also had a lot of fun walking the trails and often tagged along with the birding tour that takes place every morning. However, you can also spend all days sitting in the little restaurant area and watch the hummingbirds, toucans, aracaris, tanagers and other birds at the feeders.

Staff is friendly and helpful, the space is beautiful and wide, with a lot of plants and a wonderful swimming pool. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms are okay, and the room as well. The location was handy, it’s in the Main Street and very close to the supermarket, the farmers’ market and the sea

Incredibly friendly owners. Facilities are basic/rustic but clean and neat. You essentially have your own massive private beach with incredible sunsets, which is wonderful considering how touristy all the other beaches in the area are. Would definitely come back.

These two guest houses are nestled in a magnificent jungle landscape on the grounds of a small farm. There are horses, chickens, a cat and two dogs. We particularly liked the paradisiacal jungle river, where you can also swim. The hosts are incredibly helpful and nice and make a great breakfast and dinner for their guests in the open-air kitchen. We felt very comfortable there.

The stay in Miguel's Surf Camp was great! It is different from all other places we have been - It is rustical, sustainably managed (they even filter their own water) and a great place to enjoy. You can take surfing classes and Miguel was a great teacher! He was really patient (It was our first lesson) and explained everything really thoroughly. We could already surf a bit on our own in the afternoon! And the best thing was, that there were no other people in the whole beach! Definitely recommended!

Really like the ambience, the people, the decor and the easy access to the main bus station. The hotel/hostel is small but with very good facilities especially for cooking. Nice rustic decor with a very bohemian feel.
