The Barn Lodge

The Barn Lodge rooms are converted barns consisting of 2 double rooms, 1 twin room and 4 family rooms which can either sleep 3 or 4 people, providing guests with comfortable centrally heated rooms with en-suite facilities. As our rooms are out with the house we are room only, no breakfast. There is a restaurant at the end of our driveway serving lunches and dinner.

A beautiful place. The train from Harry Potter passes right under the window. The kitchen is well equipped, there are plenty of burners, pots, plates and cutlery. Plus a coffee brewer. Behind the railroad crossing (2 minutes from the house) is a beautiful view of the mountains and the lake. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely and peaceful, digital detox, yet close to amenities. You felt like you were miles away but really accessible. Pretty part of the world. The candlelit atmosphere led to good old family fun with board games, chatting and reading.

Very peaceful and quiet and with good access to a ton of beautiful walks and trails nearby. Car is required. The pod was extremely well equipped and had everything we needed. We had some issues finding rubbish bags but that was our own fault, but the host nonetheless very helpfully sent someone with extra bags for us.WeiFamily with young children

It has all that one needs for a simple stay. The beds are very comfy, the bathroom is large and the shower was great! We stayed in a triple room on the ground floor and the rooms are quite large. The rural setting lends itself to peace and quiet, but also super close to the motorway. We had excellent communication from the owner about contactless check in.StephanieFamily with young children

Even a rocking chair ! Good breakfast with plenty of choice, including eggs from the hens, which wander around the property :-) Location is excellent - nice and quiet, in a rural lane, but within easy reach of both Stirling and Falkirk.
