This was my second time at Barone di Villagrande...and I plan on going back a third. That should say it all. The stay is intimate and perfect for couples or travelers looking for a remote and relaxing stay away from crowds. The staff and the place is as local as it gets. The dinners accompanied with their wine tasting and breakfast are unbelievable. The pool overlooking the vineyards is stunning. And the location just steps from both the sea and mt etna is unbearable. A must for all travelers looking for an intimate and local getaway with true Sicilian hospitality.

If you can appreciate rustic simplicity and natural surroundings this is the place to disconnect from the chaos of life and appreciate nature and simple pleasures. Walk amongst fruit trees, sit and enjoy a glass of Sicilian wine listening to the birds and marvel that this place has survived the whims of Etna. One of the best parts of our stay was the on- site dinners prepared by the very capable Signora Laura and conversations with both Laura and Giuseppe. Dinners were very abundant in both portions and variety, prepared with products grown on the property. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and bathroom with shower. Definitely would return.
