Beautiful and tranquil garden (but don't ask about the mosquitos..!). A bit out of Stresa so you def need a car but there is ample parking. Lovely to have a cat on the premises, too! Really would recommend.

I slept very well here and didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. Lovely, modern room, really yummy, locally sourced products for breakfast, location was very peaceful - we were just happy to sit in the garden and read, surrounded by the forest. Francesca is very friendly and has a very interesting other business. You need your own transport to get here really - around a 7 min drive into Arona but we did find pretty easily free parking in the centre. 3 nights we stayed and 3 nights we ate very well in Arona at Anticogallo, Contatto and La Ruga del corso. Definitely take the boat to Stresa - finding a parking was a nightmare!

Situated just 16 km from Villa Panza, Tenuta La Vigna features accommodation in Malgesso with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as a lift. The farm stay features family rooms. we loved that it’s in the mountains right between two of the most beautiful lakes Lago di Maggiore and Lago d’orta. The animals in the property were beautiful as well. Dinner at the agriturismo was wonderful!!

Set in the hills above Verbania, Agriturismo Monterosso is a working farm from 1888. It produces its own meat, fruit and vegetables, which you can sample in the restaurant and buy to take home.

The farm's grounds feature a number of buildings where the rooms and apartments are located. There is ping pong and table football out in the garden, as well as a small gym. There are about 60 steep curves from Verbania until one reaches the top of Monterosso where the hotel is. But once you overcome those obstacles, you have the most beautiful view over Lago Maggiore (including Isola Bella), excellent home-made meals from local ingredients and relaxing atmosphere.

With panoramic views of the Alps and Lake Maggiore, Agriturismo Da Attilio offers a peaceful location and a traditional restaurant, a 25-minute drive from Cannobio. All rooms feature mountain views and some have a private terrace. The view of Lago Maggiore was amazing. The food was some of the best I had in Italy during out stay. There were lots of great hiking trails nearby. The staff was friendly and their pets were adorable.

Set in Ticino Nature Park, Cascina Campaccio is in Taino, 5 minutes' drive from the shores of Lake Maggiore. This country-style house features a cosy lounge with fireplace.

B&B Relais Cascina Campaccio offers both rooms, an apartment and a chalet. Rooms have a traditional country design with wood or tiled floors and beamed ceilings. They all feature a TV and private bathroom. The apartment is in a separate building and features a fully equipped kitchenette. This b&b was nicely decorated, very clean and staff was very pleasant. It was a bonus to have a sauna in the room.
