Located in Camacha, in a historic building, 10 km from Marina do Funchal, Quinta da Moscadinha is a farm stay with a garden and bar. Featuring full-day security, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. Excellent service, beautiful property and location, nice and quiet. We also loved the restaurant above the hotel, we ended getting dinner there a couple times. Definitely would recommend.

The area is popular for fishing and hiking, and car hire is available at the farm stay. If you would like to discover the area, windsurfing, diving and cycling are possible in the surroundings and A Casa Estrelícia-Dourada Garcês can arrange a bicycle rental service. The apartments and studios are set in renovated family vineyard houses. Each of the self-catering units comes with a fully-equipped kitchenette, bedroom, garden and a furnished terrace. The heated units have a cosy living area. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Staying at Quinta das Hortênsias was one of the best decisions on this trip. Wonderful environment, a very cozy apartment with a beautiful view, garden, and terrace. I felt comfortable and safe, like at home. Special thanks to the host Viriato for his hospitality, sincerity, and easy communication. It was always a pleasure to chat. My first impression upon arrival - was that this house has a soul, and it was definitely confirmed. I highly recommend it. This apartment was one of the amazing experiences I had in Madeira. Presenting a rustic style, materials as basalt stone and wood are combined in harmony with a fireplace in the living room. A flat-screen cable TV is included. There is a double room and a modern bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. It’s a paradise! I would say that it’s one of the best experiences during our traveling. It’s beautiful, calm, clean and so cozy. We stoked the fireplace everyday and enjoyed our vacation. Also, I want to highlight the high level of service! They proposed a check in any time because house was already free, they cleaned room everyday (!) when we were outside. Breakfast is really good!

Breakfast is included in the rate and the guests are the ones preparing their own meals at their accommodation. We provide the following food for breakfast: farm eggs, bread, milk, tea, coffee, cheese,ham, butter and homemade jams. Guests can also enjoy the barbecue area. Super nice host! Takes care of e everything.

The accommodation comes with a TV and a private bathroom with shower and a hair dryer, while the kitchen has a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. A fridge and kitchenware are also available, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the farm stay, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. The perfect villa for any budding explorer looking to enjoy the natural beauty that Madeira’s landscape has to offer, or fire safety enthusiast looking for the gold standard in both prevention and cover (should the silent assassin come knocking). Where should we start? Correct extinguishers; clearly labelled, easily accessible, all within close proximity of the hazard identified. Fire escapes clear from obstruction and surprise surprise, correctly signposted. Please also note the independently powered lighting in this escape route, a touch that didn’t go un noticed. Manual alarm points, correctly installed and labelled no more than 1.4m from the ground and fully serviceable (we checked). Fire blankets conveniently stored next to cooking hazards and what’s more, with English instructions. At no point during our stay did we feel our safety was being compromised by lousy fire safety protocols or unserviceable equipment. We slept soundly, knowing everything had been done to protect us.. because we all know… fire doesn’t sleep.

Featuring a balcony with quiet street views, a garden and barbecue facilities, Quinta Terezinha can be found in Ribeira Brava, close to Lugar de Baixo Beach and 2.9 km from Ribeira Brava Beach. Featuring mountain and garden views, this farm stay also has free WiFi. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the farm stay's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. When we think of paradise we think Quinta Terezinha! This hilltop country farmhouse is the perfect retreat for relaxation and solitude. The Hosts Laura and her father are excellent from attention to details and communication skills to providing special goodies upon arrival. There are many places to see on this island but we just did not want to leave the peaceful setting of this very special accommodation. Cats come with this deal and in my opinion make this place feel like home away from home. We love, love, love Quinta Terezinha and we how you will too!

Moinho do Comandante is located in São Roque, in Madeira. The unit is in a naturally green property, which features a spring of drinkable water.

Homes at the Comandante’s come with a seating area. There is a full kitchen with an oven and kitchenware. Featuring a bath, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer and a bidet. Lake and mountain views may be enjoyed from one of the units. The whole accomodation was a wonderful paradise. We enjoyed the full equipped nice country house with a beautiful garden and the river. Carlos and Leonor are extremely hospitable and friendly hosts. Everything was great, bathing in the river, the delicious breakfast made by Carlos was for us an unique experience.
