Looking for a five-star hotel?

When the accommodation is just as important as the destination, a five-star stay should give that extra ‘wow’ factor as you enter the lobby. As well as offering the kind of service to make you feel like royalty, you’ll usually find highly rated on-site spas, gourmet restaurants and top-of-the-line beds you won’t want to get out of.

I expected to find that I was booked into a standard room with a king sized bed. Instead I found myself in a suite with ultra modern facilities which even included remotely operated curtains 😁 Not sure if I was upgraded or not, but I guess I will find out when I stay here next time. I have tried quite a few hotels in Canberra and this is by far the best. Breakfast options were comprehensive. The staff were friendly and very helpful. 5 stars.

The beds are very comfortable, the room was spotless, the water pressure was excellent, and the service was equally great. This isn’t fancy or flash, but for comfort, cleanliness, and professional and courteous service, it might as well have been 5 stars. The room was huge too!

It was very noisy with no sound proof -you can hear the toilet flushing and the next door talking throughout the night -you expect better from a five star hotel. Service was poor with the bags delivered to wrong rooms -it took two hours to find them and the staff were saying it was because hotel was full with too many guests? The breakfast buffet used to be so fresh with variety foods to choose from but this time the bread was stale, limited food choices with burnt coffee-will not come back again

This is a very pleasant hotel. I will say that I usually do not like 'five star' hotels. Generally, they are stuffy and a ripoff from start to finish. This is reasonably priced and was charming rather than 'opulent.' The staff were very pleasant and the room was spacious and very comfortable. It is very close to ALL of Canberra's sights and is five minutes from Civic by car.

Value for money if you are not looking for luxury or 5 stars. Size of room was great. Abundant bench space for storing luggage etc. Even an electric blanket on one of the beds. Walking distance to a myriad of restaurants.
