The Capoe House is the most magical hotel experience I’ve ever had, the house and rooms are magnificent and so well decorated and we were hosted by Eranda, the manager and his team who made us feel like royalty! Eranda is an expert naturalist and made is discover the wonders of the nature surrounding us. Getting to the property in Eranda’s jeep was also an unforgettable experience! We cannot be thankful enough!

Nine Skies is the definition of boutique luxury. It is a small hotel with only 5 rooms and the service we received from all the staff was truly so personable this really felt like a home away from home. The design of the whole hotel is beautiful with a wonderful living room, with a cosy fire in the evenings, and our suite room was beautiful with a terrace. The pool has an amazing view over the tea plantation. All the meals we had were delicious. Our host was very friendly and helpful, organising day trips for us and setting up our own table with lots of candles for dinner by the pool one evening, and also set up our own private breakfast at a look out point which were both lovely experiences. This hotel is brilliant if you want a very quiet, secluded spot in the Hill Country with excellent service and food. It is an expensive hotel but it is worth the money.

All seven Suites consist of a bedroom, and private bathroom with a walk-in shower and tub. The luxurious bathrooms are fitted with a bidet, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Where do we begin? From the moment we stepped through the door we were knew this was going to be a highlight of our holiday. The hotel arranged a free pickup from Haputale train station and greeted us with a hot towel and a welcome drink. The location and view are breathtaking, the food is amazing and plentiful, and the cocktails were some of the best we’ve had. The rooms are beautiful with such attention to detail. We won’t spoil some of the wonderful touches that you will experience during your stay, but you will not be disappointed. The main reason why this place is so special is thanks to the wonderful team of people who work here. Exceptionally attentive in an understated kind of way. In a country where we have experienced nothing but great service and genuine hospitality this place really takes it to the next level thanks to everyone we met during our stay. We were made to feel like this was our home from home and loved it so much we extended our stay by one day. The ride up to Lipton’s seat is a must and we recommend walking part way back to enjoy the serene atmosphere of walking through the tea bushes and the tea pickers. Also, be sure to walk around the hotel property. If you are really lucky you might be joined for breakfast by the inquisitive monkeys. Sure, it’s not going to be the cheapest place you stay, but in our opinion it’s worth every penny. If you are looking for a little piece of heaven in Sri Lanka you’ve just found it! Definitely our favourite hotel of our holiday.

Having coffee in the morning looking at Little Adam’s peak was perfect. They had the best shower of our entire Sri Lankan holiday. The pool club was a fun way to spend an afternoon.

I love the room, this is the 5th or more time I've stayed here over the years and it keeps its quality, the rooms are beautiful, the views are absolutely incredible and again, the staff is the best!
