Montusi Mountain Lodge offers a bar and is located 44 km from Bergville. Guests receive free Wi-Fi access, a children's playground and a swimming pool. There are bicycles available for guests to rent, and guests can relax in the garden.

Montusi Lodge will always be among the most special places we have ever visited. The grounds are gorgeous and location stunning - remote, with birdsong, epic views towards the Drakensberg amphitheatre and spectacular skies. The food is superb with a daily changing menu and we looked forward to 4 course dinners each evening (and the wine list!). We stayed 5 nights and hiked every day. Before we got there, Dumisani was super helpful with pre-organising transfers to the Royal Natal National Park (about 25km) which has fabulous hiking. Shorter self-guided trails can also be done on the Montusi estate, right from the lodge. A really impressive operation for such a remote location and hosts Lindsey & Mick and their lovely team are to be congratulated. Thanks for making us so welcome and accommodating our thirst for the great outdoors!

We had a lovely individual cottage with parking outside our door, they had thought about every you need in the room. Having no signal or wifi for 3 days was lovely. The food and quality was exceptional and the staff amazing. The walking and swimming in the dam was a highlight for me.

The owners and staff are very friendly. There are plenty excursions that you can attend, I went for a nice sunset trailrun with Lindsay, one of the owners. It is quite remote, but it is located in a beautiful environment. My partner did not feel well one day, and the owners and staff took good care of us, which felt really comforting. Nice and clean rooms and the quality of the food is really good.
