Whitsunday Sands Resort is uniquely located on its own private peninsula, by the turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef. It offers all guests private access to 2 separate, magnificent beaches. On the eastern side of the resort is Horseshoe Bay, rated as one of the best beaches in Australia, while on the western side is the picturesque Greys Bay. You can enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset over the water on the main land, from the resort. It was a comfortable stay for the purpose of our trip (stayover en route from Townsville to Mackay). The room would have been too small for a longer stay with my children of 16+. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Parking close to accommodation.

The property comes with a year-round outdoor pool with a fence and is set 1.1 km from Cannonvale Beach. Excellent accommodation. All necessities provided including water, milk, coffee pods, biscuits and many other extras. Great location. Fabulous pool. Could not criticise. Safe secure underground parking too.

Snorkelling and diving can be enjoyed nearby, while a bicycle rental service, a private beach area and water sports facilities are also available on-site. BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is located in Airlie Beach, 4.1 km from the main street and Abell Point Marina. Whitsunday Art Gallery is 800 metres from the property, while Whitsunday Plaza Shopping Centre is 850 metres away. Free private parking and free limited WiFi is available on site. We loved our stay at this resort, it was great value and one of our favourite places we’ve stayed so far in Australia! We had our own little cabin which felt like a little home, and it was lovely and quiet, really kind gesture of free TimTams in our fridge too, there was lots for families to do but it was amazing for us as a couple too. we’re now looking at other BIG4s to stay in!

Waterview Airlie Beach offers clean and comfortable apartments with free Wi-Fi, kitchenette facilities, flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Enjoy views over the Coral Sea and Whitsunday Islands from your own private balcony. We liked everything about this property. Staff were amazing, warmly greeting us and giving us great suggestions of things to do and where to eat. The location couldn’t be better with its short walk to the main street and beach. Our apartment was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend Waterview Arlie Beach.

The 4-star self-contained apartments offer spacious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom accommodation and include a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. One of the nicest places we have stayed during our trip. Modern, clean, and very comfortable. Great views too!

Bella Vista on Nara Stay 4n each guest get free Day trip Kens Klassic Kombi Suite is located in Airlie Beach and Pets are welcome, only 600 metres from the village shops and restaurants. This suite consists of 1 queen bedroom, ensuite, lounge, and huge balcony. Very friendly host. It has a fantastic water view.

Located on the western side of Hamilton Island, The Edge 5 boasts an infinity swimming pool, a spa bath and a balcony offering sea and island views. Guests enjoy free use of a golf buggy and a free valet service. The photos online did not do Edge 5 justice. It was much roomier than we anticipated and downstairs (where the master bedroom was) had an entire new lounge area with a foldout sofa that wasn’t mentioned online. The master also had a roomy walk in robe that we used for our baby (could easily fit a portacot in there) so it was perfect for anyone with young children. It also had a childproof gate, 2 portacots, a stroller and pool toys - none of which are referenced on the booking sites. Oh and all of the blinds in the bedrooms are blackout blinds so again, perfect for families with young kids needing naps etc. We felt like we struck gold when we got there! Aside from these things, the location was great and the view from the balcony impeccable (especially at sunset), the pantry was well stocked with basics, it was clean, spacious, would definitely recommend it, especially for families.
