The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The beds and bedding were so comfortable, and everything we needed was there for us. There were even lovely touches such as a loaf of local raisin bread and a bunch of fresh local flowers that made me smile. The lodge is in lovely gardens and I really appreciated the trees, birdsong and flowers just outside the windows. It is an easy, pleasant walk into the heart of St Peter Port and the harbour, so Ilex Lodge is in a fantastic location, close to town, but quiet and peaceful. The three of us arrived exhausted and desperately in need of a holiday, and left rejuvenated and recovered. It was exactly the holiday we needed. Thank you so much.

Many cottages also have their own outdoor seating area. Close to the beauty spots in the south of the island. Cottages were clean and comfortable. Cottages were very quiet.

The bar is designed using African motifs and furniture and serves a variety of drinks and cocktails. Fantastic stay! I had high expectations but the DOR went far beyond these. The room was beautiful and spacious with lots of great amenities and snacks with a nice view too! The staff were all extremely friendly and really went out of their way to make it a memorable stay, even delivering a welcome treat to my room after I spent a night on Sark. Breakfast was plentiful and I ate in the restaurant twice and both meals were delicious. Will definitely return!

Pleasant afternoon tea,very good evening meal and nice breakfast with plenty on offer. We even had the added bonus of Shaun helping us to change our flat tyre the next morning!
