Anne was kind enough to book restaurants for us and we travelled last minute and had made zero plans for activities in the area. it’s also great that we could charge our electric car.

Pleasantly surprised to find this quaint, beautifully decorated and looked after boutique hotel. Very central with a public parking 150m away. Fantastic breakfast with so many goodies including organic goodies that I cannot list. A real meal. Has a small bar with a large whisky collection.

The cabins are nice and well equipped… however we happened to stay there on a very hot July day and the heat inside was unbearable, so much so that we checked out a day early.

The room itself was very pretty, with high beamed ceilings and a comfortable bed. I've never had a bathtub in my room before, so that made it unique.

This is an exceptional hotel - we stayed for a significant family birthday and they could not have made it more perfect. Beautiful rooms with period features, generous bathrooms, super-comfy beds. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the staff were generous, kind and helpful. The hotel location is great, right beside the Abbey and within easy walking distance of all the village has to offer. We will be back.
