This one was a surprise. I didn’t realize it was so far from Basel when I booked. Probably would’ve stayed closer to the city but it was an interesting experience. You’re out in the country! There’s a working farm on the property with bison. It’s off the beaten path but beautiful with hiking trails. Our room with a view was big with comfortable bedding and a thick robe for going to the shared bathrooms. Nice patio with a view and elegant dining room. We rented a car to get there.

Everything throughout the hotel and the room was extremely clean and in superb condition. The bathroom was modern and water was hot. The bed was confortable. The heating in the room can be adjusted to your liking, and it worked exceptionally well (temp outside was 0 C in the night). The location is great - near the train station and a few meters into the city center. Staff was professional and friendly.

We loved the house, the views from the windows and all the candles around the house; it felt like home! The location is excellent, with the Glockenspiel being just outside the house. Our kids and we enjoyed the church bells and watching the goat! Felt very swiss! Marcello was very kind and helpful with our luggage. She made me very welcome and I felt at ease in her home. She went to a lot of effort with the breakfast, which I thoroughly enjoyed, especially the Swiss meats and cheeses. The accommodation was within walking distance of where my friend lived, this was an unexpected bonus, and also a 2 minute walk to the bus stop, for a few minutes bus ride to the train station.
